1 Show the location of the Building Footprint Block or Setting Out Rectangle and dimensions of it from the
plot boundary outside edges
2 Nomenclate plot boundary with road/access indication, adjacent plots with sequential numbering and
proposed building
6 Show the external building line of top floors with projections if any in dotted, if at all applicable
7 Check that the diagonal dimensions of the Building Footprint Block match the diagonals indicated in the
C/L Plan
Also check that the Out-to-out dimensions of the Building Footprint Block match those indicated in the C/L
Plan
1 Show all dimensions of the plot and building block (including all offsets)
2 Show diagonals dimensions of the Building Footprint Block or Setting Out Rectangle (for confirming right
angle of corners)
3 Show all setback dimensions

WORKING DRAWING I (CHECKLIST) (Load Bearing Structure)
1 Show walls that are cut in section with material indication (material hatch)
5 Show Centre Line numbering as 1,2, 3,4...on X axis & A,B,C, D...on Y axis (starting from Origin Point)
6 Show Typical Section of Foundations (whether step foundation / strip foundation) for both internal &
external walls. This must be Detailed Sections showing the excavation pit and PCC with all relevant
dimensions and material specifications
8 Check that the diagonal dimensions of the Building Footprint Block match the diagonals indicated in
the S/O Plan
Also check that the Out-to-out dimensions of the Building Footprint Block match those indicated in
the S/O Plan
b. Cumulative dimensions - distance between the first and last centre line on each axis
c. Out to out dimensions - distance from start to end face on each axis (to corelate with Setting Out
Rectangle dimensions)
8 Stairs - Tread & Riser dimension, Tread numbering, up-down arrow, landing / midlanding width,
railing, parapet, planter wall indication with specification, staircase width.
9 Internal & External Plaster lines
10 Chajjas, roof projections in dotted, with applicable dimensions
11 Tile drop
12 Flooring material- Size, type, material, Start Point (SP), Use a different colour to indicate the
flooring tiles otherwise they add to the cacaphony of lines in the drawing.
13 Railing, parapet with specification
14 Sanitary fixtures in toilets with centre line dimensions from end walls or as applicable
15 Section lines.
16 Take load-bearing walls as 350mm minimum, in thickness.
C Presentation Aspects (10% Marks)

A Drafting Aspects ( 20% Marks)
1 Flat roof:Parapet wall mention height & material (thickness will be same as load bearing wall
below)
2 Numbering of steps of staircase

Roof: Elevation Line - thin & bold

1 Ideally cut sections longitudinally through staircase ( flight going up) and toilet.

lines as applicable), sunks (toilets, balconies etc.)

Schedule to include Sr. No, Type & Material Specification, Size, Cill Level, No. of openings. Also
the legend must mention wall thicknesses and other symbols being used in the drawing.
