Covariance and Correlation
Covariance is a measure that indicates the direction of the relationship between two variables.

• When the covariance is positive, it means that as one variable increases, the other tends to increase too.

• When the covariance is negative, it means that as one variable increases, the other tends to decrease.

Covariance and Correlation
Correlation is a measure that describes the strength and direction of a relationship between two variables.

• Positive correlation: When one variable increases, the other tends to increase as well.
• Negative correlation: When one variable increases, the other tends to decrease.
• No correlation: There's no apparent relationship between the variables.

The correlation coefficient, usually denoted as r, ranges from -1 to 1.

•r = 1 means a perfect positive correlation.
•r = -1 means a perfect negative correlation.
•r = 0 means no correlation.
