Tutorial Guide: Setting Up a Virtual Machine (VM) for Linux

Step 1: Install Virtualization Software


- Recommended: VirtualBox or VMware.
- Download and install from the official website.

Step 2: Download a Linux ISO File


- Visit the Ubuntu website and download the latest LTS version.

Step 3: Create a New Virtual Machine


- Open the virtualization software and click "New".
- Assign a name, select Linux as the operating system, and allocate memory.

Step 4: Install Linux


- Start the VM and load the ISO file.
- Follow on-screen instructions to install Linux.

Step 5: Configure the VM


- Install additional tools (e.g., Guest Additions for VirtualBox).
- Set up shared folders and network settings.

Tips:
- Regularly update your Linux distribution for security patches.
- Backup your VM periodically.
