Rules for Instrumental Freaks

1. The competition will be held in two categories, Junior for Classes 6 – 8 and
Senior for Classes 9 – 12.

2. Each participant will be required to play his/her instrument for 3 minutes.

3. Accompanist will be provided with the contestant.

4. Use of mic is compulsory.

5. One student will be allowed to play one instrument only.

6. The students will be in proper school uniform (No Track suit).

7. The judges will be evaluating the performance on the following criteria as


required for instrument viz Rhythm (10), Melody (10), Song Selection (10)
Body Language (5), Stage Ethics (5), & Overall impact (10) (Total 50).

8. The students should feel confident & wish the audience before the
performance & bow after the performance.

9. There will be one winner and one runner up in each category per instrument.

10. The decision of the judges will be final & abiding.

11. The students of class 9 – 12 are required to send a video for audition to
Mr. Sanjay Goswami, shot while playing the instrument. The video should
be of 30 seconds duration. In case you do not have the instrument at home
then you will be required to play the instrument in front of the music teacher
in the school itself. The video should reach Mr. Sanjay Goswami
(9720438568) by Sunday 7 July, 2024 5 pm.
