Employee Computer Security Policy
During the course of your employment with Café Zupas computer equipment, software operating systems, storage
media, email, and Internet/Extranet – related systems are the property of Café Zupas and should only be used for
business approved purposes.
Café Zupas cannot guarantee the confidentially of any information stored on these systems.
You should always use good judgment when using and accessing these systems.
Authorized employees may monitor these systems and equipment at any time.
Café Zupas reserves the right to audit networks and systems to ensure compliance with this policy.
Employees should take all necessary steps to prevent unauthorized users from having access to company
systems and equipment.
If you have access to sensitive or confidential company information you are prohibited from copying, moving, or
storing this information onto local hard drives or removable electronic media without authorization from a
Managing Partner of Café Zupas.
Keep passwords secure and do not share accounts.
Use extreme caution when opening e-mail attachments received from unknown senders, which may contain
viruses, e-mail bombs, or Trojan horse code.
Unacceptable Use – The following activities are strictly prohibited, with no exceptions
Under NO circumstances are you authorized to engage in illegal activity while using Café Zupas owned resources:
Installing or distributing “pirated” or other software products that are not licensed for use by Café Zupas.
Unauthorized copying of copyrighted material.
Exporting software, technical information, encryption software in violation of export control laws.
Introducing malicious programs into the network or server.
Revealing account passwords to others or allowing use of your account by others.
Using Café Zupas equipment to procure or transmit material that is in violation of our sexual harassment and/or
hostile workplace policies or that is against local, state, or federal laws.
Making fraudulent offers of products, items, or services originating from any Café Zupas account.
Causing a security breach or disruption of network communications.
Port scanning or security scanning.
Executing any form of network monitoring which will intercept data.
Circumventing user authentication or security of any host network or account.
Interfering with or denying service to any user who has authorization.
Using any program/script/command, or sending messages of any kind, with the intent to interfere with, or
disable, a user’s terminal session, via any means, locally or via the Internet/Intranet/Extranet.
Providing information about, or lists of, Café Zupas employees to parties outside Café Zupas, without
authorization.
Sending unsolicited email messages (junk mail, spam, advertisements, etc.)
Any form of Harassment via email, telephone, instant or text message, or paging.
Unauthorized use or forging of email header information.
Solicitation of email for any other email address, with the intent to harass or to collect replies.
Creating or forwarding “chain letters”, “Ponzi”, or other “Pyramid” schemes of any type.
Use of unsolicited email to advertise on behalf of Café Zupas.
You are PROHIBITED from revealing any Café Zupas confidential or proprietary information, trade secrets or any
other material covered by Café Zupas confidential information policy using Social Media.
You should not engage in activities that may harm or tarnish the image, reputation, and/or goodwill of Café
Zupas and/or any of its employees. Employees are also prohibited from making any discriminatory, disparaging,
defamatory or harassing comments when positing on social media or otherwise engaging in any conduct
prohibited by Cafe Zupas Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy.
If you are expressing your beliefs and/or opinions using Social Media, you may not, expressly or implicitly,
represent yourself as an employee or representative of Café Zupas. Employees assume any and all risk
associated with using Social Media.
Café Zupas trademarks, logos and any other Café Zupas intellectual property may also not be used in connection
with Social Media activity.
Any employee found to have violated this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including
termination of employment.
