Subject : Request for “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE (NOC)” for installation of Private Electric
Vehicle (EV) Charger in my Basement Car Parking Numbered P1-1072, and installation of
New Electric Meter for an Electric Vehicle (EV) Car Charging
Reference: My previous letter number SK/20240707/01 dated 07th July 2024, and several earlier
letters / correspondences on the subject
Despite multiple requests, including my letter dated July 7, 2024 (Reference: SK/20240707/01),
supported by the following legal directives:
1. Order from the Office of the Deputy Registrar of Co-Operative Society, Thane,
dated 18th January, 2024.
2. Order from the Office of the Divisional Joint Registrar of Co-Operative Society, Navi Mumbai,
dated 5th July 2024.
and the recent Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Power, Government of India:
3. “Guidelines for Installation and Operation of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure-2024 –
reg.” dated September 17, 2024
I am yet to receive a response from the Society.
These orders and guidelines explicitly permit residents to install private EV Charging Stations in their
designated parking spaces, as detailed in Paragraph 16(5) of the Ministry of Power’s guidelines,
reproduced below for your ready reference:
“Private Charging Points: Residents can install private EV charging stations in their designated
parking spaces. The Distribution Licensee will ensure electricity supply through the resident’s existing
meter or a separate sub-meter depending on the consumer’s choice.”
Given the clarity of these provisions and the absence of any legal impediment, I hereby notify you
that I intend to proceed with the installation of my private EV charger and the necessary new
electricity meter, already sanctioned by the Distribution Company (DISCOM), in my designated parking
space P1-1072. This installation will commence on or after October 5, 2024.
I kindly request your cooperation in ensuring that there are no unnecessary delays or obstructions
in this process, which is in accordance with the applicable legal orders and government guidelines.
Should you have any concerns or require further information, please feel free to contact me. I trust
that we can resolve this matter amicably and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
