CBSE Practical File Submission (Mid Term)

Session 2022-23
Class X (Information Technology)

1. Explain the styles given in the Styles and Formatting Window for Open Office
Writer and paste the screenshot of the window also.
2. Write the steps to Create a New Style in Open Office Writer.
3. Write the steps to Insert an Image in a document. Explain any two methods
along with screenshots.
4. Design a poster on “Climate Changes, Impact and Solution” by using image and drawing
tools in Open Office Writer.

5. Prepare worksheet as given below and do as directed:

1. Add two worksheets in the file and modify the data for all 4 quarters.
2. Rename all worksheets like sheet1 – 2018, sheet2 – 2019 and sheet3 – 2020.
3. Now add one more worksheet at the end and rename it as a consolidated sheet.
4. Now type the serial no and names as displayed, and use the sum function to add data for
2018, 2019 and 2020 in respective cells using consolidation

6. A student is planning his goals about the marks he should score in the internal assessment to
97%. Assuming that the examination of each subject is for 20 marks, his marks of the two
periodic tests are given as under:

Periodic Test 2 15 12 10 12 13

a. Use the formulae to find the total marks and percentage.


b. Assign Result as “Pass” if the student scores more than 60% else, “Fail” (use IF function)
c. The student wants to score more than 90%. Use Goal seek Feature to set the marks in any of
the subjects to get the same.
d. Protect the worksheet created by you.

Instructions for submission:


a. Submit the complete file in hard copy form.
b. For questions 1,2 and 3, type the answers in a document, and take the print outs of the
document created.
c. Hard copy of the poster created for Q4 to be submitted.
d. Create the worksheets in questions 5 and 6 as directed. Write the steps for all the parts
of questions 5 and 6.
