JPA/JPS/SPC Electronic Price Computing Scale is a kind of multi-functional weighing scale. It

calculates precisely and promptly, but also operates easily. The scale has utilized advanced single
chip microprocessor and high precision load cell, which ensures it works stably and durably. This
scale adopts LED display or LCD display, and can use AC or DC power to have the features of
auto sleep, energy saving, voltage display, warning of low voltage beeping, auto charge of DC
battery, store of unit price, change, etc. Therefore, it is widely used in business or other industries
as price computing scale.

2 Main Functions:
2.1 Automatic zero follow, Zero set, Tare, Weight display, Unit price input, Total price
calculation, Voltage display, Multiple amount save and add, Overweight, Overweight
limit alert, Error warning, Dual power of AC and DC, Auto sleep and energy saving,
Warning of low voltage, etc.
2.2 Keypad setting:

2.2.3 Function Buttons: [Zero][Clear][Tare][Add][Store][Change]

3 Operation:
Please put the scale on a firm and solid platform. Adjust four legs to have the bubble in
the balance meter centered to ensure precise measurement.
3.1 Turn on the power; the scale will go into self-test mode.
3.2 When you stop weighing for 2 seconds, the scale will enter energy-saving mode
automatically. One window shows “-”, others are off. The scale resumes working mode
automatically when weighing.
3.3 Unit price input, store, employment and clear
3.3.1 Unit price input: press number and decimal keys as desired. The “unit price” window
and “total price” window will display simultaneously. If need to correct, just press
key [C] and number key in new unit price. If interval between two consecutive
number key inputs is more than 5 seconds, the scale will regard the input of unit price
as completed. i.e. one item weighs 2Kg and unit price is $1.50. Procedure: input
[1][.][5][0]; the weight window will display 2.000, unit price window 1.50 and total
price window 3.00.
3.3.2 Unit price clear: when you press [C] key or the interval of pressing keys is more than 5
seconds, the unit price will refresh. Then new unit price will be welcome.
3.3.3 Setting and storage of unit price: press [store] key, then press number and decimal keys,
finally press corresponding storage keys [M1] …[M7]. i.e. [M1] = $3.47. Procedure:
press [store][3][.][4][7][M1].
3.3.4 Employment of unit price :
Press directly the corresponding storage key [M1] … [M7]. i.e. use the [M1] $3.47.
Procedure: press [M1] , then the unit price window will display 3.47.
3.4 Zero set and tare
3.4.1 Zero set: when the initial measurement is ≤3% FS and the stability indicator lights up,
you can use [Zero] key. Press [Zero] key, then the weight window will display zero.
3.4.2 Tare: when the initial measurement is ≤100% FS and the stability indicator lights up,
you can use [Tare] key. Press [Tare] key, then the tare weight is cleared.
3.5 Change: Press [Change], when the measurement is stable. The Weight window will
show “CH9” Unit price and total price will show “-----”. Input the amount paid into unit
price window, then it will show the amount back to the customer on the total price
window. Finally, press [Change] key and go back to the normal mode.
3.6 Add: i.e. input A’s unit price. Press [Add] key, the unit price will show Add 1 and the
total price window shows the added price. Input B’s unit price. Press [Add] key, the unit
price window shows Add 2 and the total price window shows the total price of A and B.
If you want to clear the added price, please press [C] and the scale will go back to the
normal model. Or press[Add], then press [C].

4 Overweight alert and error warning:

4.1 Overweight: “Weight ” window will show “-OL- ” and the scale will beep.

4.2 Total price overflow: when total price window displays ＞9999.99, the total price

window will show “- ----- ”.

5 Notice:
5.1 Using DC battery: 4V/4Ah lead-acid battery is installed in the scale. It can be used more
than 160 hours after full charge. When the scale beeps because of low power, please
charge the battery in order to save the battery’s life. When you often use the battery and
find that the battery cannot be used more than 5 hours, it indicates the battery is aging
and needs to be changed. when the scale is not used for a long time, please charge the
battery once a month in order to keep the battery’s life. The charging time is at least 12
hours.
5.2 Charging methods:
5.2.1 Method one: connect power plug to the AC power( no need to turn on the switch), then
the AC light will be on. It is a fast charging method and the battery power will be
sufficient.
5.2.2 Method two: connect power plug to the AC power, then turn on the power switch. The
scale can be used when charging.
5.3 Before use, user should calibrate this scale every day in case of loss.
5.4 Electronic price computing scale should avoid from raining, throwing and crash during
the transportation and in use.
