Job Title: Home Carer

Job Description:
As a home carer, the candidate will attend to the personal needs and
comforts of the elderly and the in rm with care and support needs of the
‘service users’ within residential care establishments, day care
establishments or in their own homes.

Job Responsibilities:
• To assists and enables service users to undress, wash, use the toilet
and bathe;
• To serve meals to service users at table or in bed, and assists with
feeding if required;
• To assist with service users an overall comfort and well-being;
• To provide interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service
users;
• To help with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills,
collecting bene ts;
• To undertake light cleaning and domestic duties including meal
preparation as required;
• To monitor service users conditions by taking temperature, pulse,
respiration and weight, and contributes to record keeping;
• To liaise with professional staff in carrying out care plans etc;
• To be aware of the changing needs of a service user and to report
these to the Line Manager;
• To assist service users with physical therapy exercises;

• To provide emotional support to service users;
• To act at all times, whilst on duty, in accordance with Uriel Care2u
philosophy;
• To exercise responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act
1974 and the policies and procedures of Uriel Care2u including
re, reporting of accidents and call out of GP/District Nurse/
emergency services.
