INTRODUCTION

A doughnut or donut is a type of fried dough confection or dessert food. The doughnut is
popular in many countries and is prepared in various forms as a sweet snack that can
be homemade or purchased in bakeries, supermarkets, food stalls, and franchised
specialty vendors.

The word "doughnut" is believed to have originated from the Dutch word "olie koek"
meaning "oil cake". The first known literary usage of the term dates back to an 1808
short story describing a spread of "fire-cakes and dough-nuts"

Hanson Gregory, an American, claimed to have invented the ring-shaped doughnut in


1847 aboard a lime-trading ship. Gregory was dissatisfied with the greasiness of twisted
doughnuts and the raw center of regular doughnuts. He claimed to have punched a hole
in the center of dough with the ship's tin pepper box and later taught the technique to his
mother

The ring shape is an important innovation because it allows for larger doughnuts to cook
evenly without leaving a doughy center or requiring fillings.

For my own business, I'll be making pumpkin donuts with nut toppings, shaped like
sticks. The name of my business will be PUMPKINNA NUTRIDOUGHNUT STICK.
Pumpkinna is a combination of "pumpkin" and "Hanna" (a name), "Nutri" stands for
nutritious, "dough" is for doughnut, "nut" is because I'll be using nut toppings and
peaNUT butter as a filling, and "stick" refers to the shape of my donut.

The stick shape is important because it makes easier to grab and eat on the go, perfect
for busy mornings or quick snacks., additionally the long, thin shape allows for more
even cooking, reducing the risk of a raw center or uneven browning, and of course the
stick shape offers a unique and visually appealing twist on the traditional donut, making
it a more interesting and exciting option for consumers.

My goal is to develop a unique method of making donuts, and to provide nutritious


donut to help people who are addicted to eating them. Eating donuts excessively can
have negative effects on your health, such as increased blood sugar levels, heart
problems, dental problems, nutrient deficiencies, weight gain, and others. This allows
for the creation of a nutritious alternative that is both tastier and healthier than traditional
donuts.And most importantly, it will be more affordable than traditional donuts, making it
accessible to everyone

healthy eating habits and mark in their mind that doughnut is not all about sweet,
but of course the healthy is the real sweetest.

enjoy sweet treats without compromising their health.

My primary business objective is to develop a distinctive and highly accessible


product, appealing to a broad consumer base. This accessibility will stem from not
only its affordability but also its nutritional value. I aim to empower individuals to
prioritize their well-being by providing a product that promotes healthy choices. This
endeavor transcends personal gain; it is driven by a desire to positively impact the
lives of those who purchase and consume my product.

Furthermore, I aspire to foster the growth and expansion of my business, enabling it


to reach a wider audience and generate a greater positive impact. Ultimately, I
envision achieving entrepreneurial success while simultaneously contributing to the
health and well-being of my community.

Building a food business is not easy, especially with a lot of competition, and even
more food businesses emerging. It is difficult to grow and gain customer recognition,
especially understanding their needs and wants. Therefore, market analysis is the
most challenging aspect when establishing a food business or any other business.

My primary consideration in my business is identifying my target market, potential


competitors, and most importantly, how to effectively market my product. Leveraging
modern technology, we will promote our product, the Pumpkinna Nutridoughnut
Stick, through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and
others. This will help drive sales and facilitate business development.

To achieve successful product growth and development, we will implement a unique


and effective sales strategy utilizing social media. This will involve leveraging
platforms like Facebook and other trending platforms to generate sales through
engaging content and targeted marketing efforts.
