Customer states:
 Engine does not start.
 Gearbox malfunction message is shown in the drivers information screen.

Workshop findings:
The following DTC(s) may be stored in the transmission control module (TCM), J217 (address word 0002):
 DTC P280500 (Transmission Range Sensor "A"/"B" Correlation) with symptom code: 20779 (Figure 1).
 DTC P060700 (Control Module Performance) might also be stored in the TCM fault memory with the
symptom code(s): 21012 and/or 21014.

Service
If the DTC P280500 (Transmission Range Sensor "A"/"B" Correlation) with symptom code: 20779 is stored
perform the following:
 With GFF or Guided Functions read the measured values for technical repair inquiry and upload the diagnosis
log to GFF paperless (a technical assistance contact is not required).
 Replace the drive position sensor –G676- and the transmission control module –J217- (TCM) per the repair
manual.
 Perform all Basic Settings for the replacement of the transmission control module (TCM).
 Road test to confirm proper operation.

Claim Type:  110 up to 48 Months/50,000 Miles.
 G10 for CPO Covered Vehicles – Verify Owner.
