Math Month 2025
Theme: “MATHEMATICS, ARTS, AND CREATIVITY"

Quizmaster
Mechanics:
1. This contest has now officially started. Late comers will not be accepted anymore.
Each contestant must prepare any of the following materials: 1/8 illustration board, chalk, and
eraser or small whiteboard, whiteboard marker, and eraser

2. The quizmaster will assign a number for each contestant for easy recognition. Put your number on the upper left
corner of your answer board and do not erase it until the end of the contest.
Write your name, section, and Math teacher in our attendance sheet.

3. The quiz bee questions only cover 1st and 2nd quarter lessons in Mathematics 10.

4. This contest consists of three rounds: Easy Round, Average Round, and Difficult Round. There will be 10
questions for Easy Round, 5 questions for Average Round, and 5 questions for Difficult Round. Each easy question
is worth 2 points with an allotted time of 15 seconds. Each average question is worth 3 points with an allotted
time of 30 seconds. Each difficult question is worth 5 points with an allotted time of 60 seconds. The highest
possible score a contestant can get is 60 points.

5. All questions will be displayed on the screen during the contest. The quizmaster will read each question twice.
The allotted time will start when the quizmaster says "Go"! A contestant may answer already even though the
quizmaster has not yet finished reading the question. Each contestant must make sure to write the answer
clearly and legibly on the board. Superimpositions and erasures are not allowed. Correct unit of measurement
must also be considered if necessary.

6. When the time is over, the quizmaster will say "Time's Up, Boards Up". The you must raise your board. Late
answers will not be accepted.

7. The Math 10 teachers will monitor your work so please be honest while answering. If the answer must be a
word/ words, wrong spelling is wrong. Calculator, coaching, and cheating are not allowed. If you are caught doing
any of these, you will not be given points even though your answer is correct.

8. The scorekeepers and marshals will check your answer, read the assigned numbers of those who got the correct
answer and record the score on the prepared score sheet. The scores will be updated and announced after every
question category for transparency. Do not put down your answer board or do not erase your answer until you
are told to do so.

9. At the end of the contest, in case of a tie, clincher or tie-breaking questions will be given.

10. The top 5 highest scores will be declared 1st, 2nd , 3rd, 4th, and 5th place winners. They will be given grade
credits by their Math teacher and will be awarded certificates of recognition on the Culminating Day of Math
Month 2025.
All participants, winning or non-winning will be given credit or plus points by their respective Math teacher.
