SPORTS GENERAL RULES
ELIGIBILITY : MBBS only

1.The participants have to provide their college


identity cards without fail.
2.“The decision of the referees and organizing
committee shall be final in all regards’’.
3.An Identity Card will be issued to
each participant,that will be verified before every
match.
4.The teams are allowed to enter the ground only
after getting Sports Identity Card from the
registration desk(after confirming your
registration and payment made
earlier through online) !!!!
5.Teams who have paid the registration fees have to
carry proof of transaction ( either softcopy or
hardcopy )
6.Fixtures and schedules will be informed a day in
advance.
7.The schedule for every sport is very tight. A delay
of 10 minutes on the reporting time will be
counted as a walkover to the other
participants/teams.
8.All teams must report to the venue 30 minutes
prior to the scheduled time.
9.It is the duty of the participant if participating in
multiple events to inform the event incharges in
advance to avoid any clash of fixtures.
10.More than one match can be scheduled for a
team on a particular day.
11. Fixtures can be changed at any time and all the
decisions will be conveyed to the respective
teams as soon as possible.
12.Organizers committee decision will be final
regarding the fixtures... No further arguments
will be encouraged regarding the fixtures.
13. Any change in venue or timings or format of the
game,in case of unforeseen circumstances, will
be notified to the Captain of the teams in
advance.
14.In case of any difference of opinion during the
event,the referee and the organizing
committee’s decision will be final.
15. ORGANISING COMMITTEE holds the right to
take legal actions on participants who violate
the generic code
of conduct.
16.The organizing team shall not be responsible for any
problems arising due to miscommunication because
of the interference by any person other than the
captain of the team
17. Accommodation will be provided.
18.Transport to the matches outside the college
campus will be provided
19. No prize money will be given.
20. Trophies , medals & certificates will be provided to
the winners
*Information on accommodation for TIMS 2023 *

Caution Deposit: 500/- which will be refunded back to the


original payment method.

150/- per night per student.


*Bring 3 passport size photographs*

A mat will be provided per person, buckets and mugs will


be provided too! Your belongings are your responsibility,
bring locks for your bags. We are not responsible for loss
of items!

Pay on spot on arrival at hostel registration desk:


On arrival: Pay 650/- and accommodate yourself for the
day.

You’ll be allotted specific sports accommodation


incharges, to whom you’ve to pay on daily basis for the
duration of your stay.

If you fail to pay daily fees, amount will be deducted from


caution deposit and the remaining amount will be
credited to you.

Accommodation will start from June 7th, 4pm to 12th


June 12pm.

*Any loss or damage to the hostel property amount will be collected*


Football
Format: Knockouts
One Team per College
Squad must only contain a Maximum of 18
players.
5 Substitutes allowed to be changed in 3
changes.
Match Duration: 20-5-20, from Quarter: 25-10-
25.
Standard Jersey with Non-Repeating Jersey
numbers are Mandatory.
In the event of scoring being level after normal
time, winner will be decided by Penalty Shoot-
Outs.
Cards will not be carried.
Decision of Referees and Organising committee
is final and bounding.
Standard FIFA Rules apply.

Futsal
Format: Knockouts
Maximum of 2 teams per College.
8 Players per Team is required.
Match Duration: 8-2-8, from Quarter: 15-8-15
Winner in case of draw will be decided by One
Step Penalty Shoot-Outs.
One Yellow Card- Suspension of 2 Minutes. Red
card- Suspension of particular Player for Whole
match.
Cards will not be carried.
Decision of Referees and Organising committee
is final and bounding.
Rolling Substitution changes will be observed.

Minutes. Red card- Suspension of
particular Player for Whole match.
Cards will not be carried.

CRICKET
FORMAT:- Knockout
MATCHDAY:- June 8,9,10,11

INSTRUCTIONS:-

•12-16 overs per innings ( overs may be reduced according to


time )
• All standard ICC rules are applied
• Decision of refree and organising committee is final
• Uniform dress code is mandatory - whites compulsory
• Teams should bring their own kit
• Maximum number of player in squad is 15
• Super over in case of tie
• If the team shows up late for the match they’ll be scratched

authority to take a decision
Praticipating team should carry their

Knockout should be based on match
points

Format:league followed by finals


Each team can have maximum of 18
players in the squad.
Match duration: 30minutes (10-10-10)
And there will be 3 minutes break
between each one third

Hockey for 5's(men & women)
1) Format : two pools- round robin in each pool-top 2 teams
qualify for semifinals.
2)No. of players : 5(4+1goalie)+ 3 substitutes.
3) Maximum number of teams allowed per college = 3
4)The match consists of 2 halves of each 10 minutes (10-2-
10).
5)Hit or Reverse hit or Scoop or Tap are not allowed.
6)If a foul is commited inside the D line,then there will be a
penalty corner-2 rushes.
7)Ball has to travel at least 3 yards before entering the D line if
ball is started from the 25 line or inside the 25 line.
8)Intentional foul inside D line stopping an obvious goal is
awarded with penalty stroke.
9)If any foul is being taken,opponent must stay atleast 3 yards
from the player.
10)Green card-2 mins out.
Yellow card-5 mins out.
Red card-suspended from the match.
11)Each win will be granted 2 points and 1 point to each team
for draw.
12)If equal number of points in the pool,then the priority order
is goal difference > goals scored > goals received > head to
head > penalty stroke .
13) Draw in the knockouts will lead to penalty stroke.
VOLLEYBALL

Format: Knockout
Each Team can have a maximum of
12 players with 6 on the court.
Each match will have 3 sets of 25 points
each.
All standard FIVB rules apply.
Match ball will not be given for warmup.
Teams who do not report on time will be
disqualified .
Decision of the referee is final.

BASKETBALL 5s : MEN & WOMEN

1.Format: Knockout

2.Maximum 1 team per college.

3.Maximum 12 players in a squad per team.

4.Each match will have four quarters and Each


quarter duration- 10minutes(running time)

5.The decision of the referee is final.

6.Standard FIBA rules apply

Format: Knockout

1.Maximum 3 teams per college.


2. Maximum of 5 players per team including 2

3. Each match will have 2 halfs and duration of each


half will be decided according to total number of
entries.
4. 1 timeout allowed per half for a team.
5. The decision of the referee is final.

Standard FIBA rules will be applied.

• One player can participate in singles ,doubles & mixed
doubles(three events).
• In doubles, one player can't participate in two teams.
• It's doubles only, not a 3 players team event.
• All players should bring your own racket.
• Final decision will be taken by the referee/conducting incharges.
• Participants must apply for singles, doubles, and mixed doubles
seperately.

CHESS

The Latest FIDE Rules in force shall apply and


the Swiss system will be followed.
Time Control: 10 Minutes each plus 2 seconds
increment for each move made.
The number of rounds and the round- wise
schedulewill be announced at the tournament
venue.
Tiebreak: Buchholz tiebreak system will be
applied.
The Chief Arbiter'sdecisions shall be final and
binding on all playersconcerned.
Default time is 5 minutes from the start of the
round. Players who fail to be present on the
board within 5 minutes from the start of the
round will lose their point
CHESS
AICF has banned the wrist watches while playing in
the tournament. Players are instructed not to wear
wrist watches while playing.

Mobile phones are strictly not allowed inside the


playing hall, the players will lose their point if found.

Illegal move: First illegal move will be allowed


(Warning with penalty) and second illegal move will
be game lost in both rapid and blitz games.

On the spot registrations will be closed 9 am


sharply. However, participants are kindly asked to fill
in the google forms one day in advance to enjoy the
tournament without delay.

First round starts 9:30 am sharply.

Winners and Runners in both category (boys and


girls) will be awarded prizes however the games will
be paired combinedly.

Rules in Powerlifting:
• Any number of entries per institution.
• Safety belt will be provided.
• No other supportive gears are allowed.
• Each lift should be performed after a
commencement signal and ended by a finishing
signal from refree.
• Each lift should be performed with proper form.
• Weight classes may or may not be there (based on
number of registrations).
• Ranking is based on the sum of the loads that the
athlete lifted.
Rules in CrossFit (Isabel):
• Any number of entries per institution.
• No supportive gears are allowed nor provided.
• One must perform clean and press
(constant load of 100 lb) as
many reps possible within one minute of time after
the commencement signal from refree.
• There are no weight classes.
• Ranking is based on the number of reps performed
by the athlete.

Athletes are also told that, they must appear 30


minutes prior to the events.
