(ii) Cassiterite, an ore of tin, occurs along with the magnetic tungsten mineral wolframite. It is one of the
most important source of tin today. How can cassiterite be separated from the gangue? State the

(a) In the laboratory preparation of hydrogen chloride gas, the temperature is maintained below 200 ºC.
