Dear All,
We are excited to announce Interbranch Competitions under GrammaDemic. The
competitions include STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics),
LM Talks and Coding. We cordially invite you to participate in this exciting event. Our goal
is to foster creativity, innovation, and a love for learning in young minds. We aim to promote
collaboration and problem-solving skills and such competitions simulate real world challenges
and help children to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios.

Objectives:
 Collaborate with peers from diverse fields to solve real-world challenges
 To inspire young students to explore new ideas and develop a curiosity for learning.
 To foster digital literacy through exploration of new tools and technologies.
 To improve their public speaking, presentation, and communication skills, helping
them express their thoughts effectively.
 To boost self-confidence by allowing students to share their knowledge and ideas with
an audience.
 Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills by researching and presenting
on a chosen topic.
 Convey intended meaning, emotions, and nuances.
 Showcase effective voice modulation and expression.
 Engage the audience through compelling interpretation
 Highlight proficiency in conveying the essence of the written material.

 Competition Details

Date: Saturday 23, November 2024.

Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm

Venue: Lahore Grammar School (Landmark Project) Bismillah Campus

Reporting time: 9:00 am – 9:15am

Event will start at 9:30am sharp

 Eligibility
o This competition is open to Grades VI to VIII.
o Each team must consist of 3 students, each from one grade representing (vi, vii, viii).
o One participant from each grade (vi, vii, viii) for Learning Minds (LM Talks).
o Two participants from each grade (vi, vii, viii) for coding.

 Registration Deadline and Delegation Fee


To secure your spot in the competition, please complete the registration form by Friday 8th
November 2024, with Rs: 2000/- per branch.
All the branches must participate in all the above mentioned competitions.

 Coordinators and Teachers Accompanying Students


For the event, please ensure that each participating branch assigns one coordinator and one
teacher to accompany their students.

TRIFUSION

Step into the future of technology and team work as your minds come together
to bring innovation to life. Push the boundaries of creativity, using transistors
and sensors to build working models that demonstrate the power of
collaboration.

Categories for working models:


i. Home automation
ii. Environmental monitoring
iii. Safety and security
iv. Industrial automation
v. Smart agriculture
vi. Energy management
Each team is required to select one category from the list above and create an
interactive model within that category. You should have prior knowledge of
your chosen project and be able to explain its functionality. Your model must
incorporate sensors and transistors to demonstrate how these components are
essential for its operation.
Contest guidelines:
Team composition:
i. Each team must consist of 3 students, each representing a different grade
level (vi, vii, viii).
ii. Cross- grade collaboration is required, with team members expected to
actively participate in idea generation, design and project execution. Each
member should contribute to the project at every stage, ensuring a
balanced and cooperative effort across all grades.
iii. Time to complete the project is 90 minutes.
Requirements:
i. Teams are responsible for bringing their own materials for the project
they choose to create.
ii. Projects must incorporate the use of sensors and transistors. (must not
include arduino or coding)
iii. Teams should clearly demonstrate their understanding of components
used.
iv. The projects should be fully operational, highlighting the pivotal role of
sensors and transistors in its functionality.
v. Teams are required to submit a brief report outlining the concept of their
project & the roles of each member beforehand on A4 size paper.

Presentation:
i. Teams will have 5-10 minutes to present their project.
ii. The presentation must include a live demonstration of the project.
iii. Teams should be prepared to respond to questions from the judges,
particularly concerning the technical aspects of their projects.

Resources provided by host campus.


i. For your convenience, all teams will have access to on-site glue guns and
soldering machines, available at designated stations. This ensures that all
the participants have equal access to the necessary tools for model
construction.

Story craft Showdown

Task: Weave Your Own Digital Tale

Dive into the world of digital storytelling. Using the software like Scratch,
Pencil 2D or Microsoft PowerPoint, you will craft a unique, animated story that
captures your imagination. Let your creativity shine as you bring characters to
life, design scenes, and build an engaging narrative that will captivate your
audience.

Event Highlights:

Time Allotment: 90 minutes

Video Length: 1 minute of captivating animation

Team Composition: Two participants per team

Note: Specific criteria will be unveiled on the day of the challenge.

Judgment Criteria:

 Creativity and Originality: How unique, original and creative is your


animation?

 Viewer Engagement: Does it captivate and hold the audience's attention?

 Adherence to Theme: Meet the criteria revealed on the event day!

Game Genesis

Task: Design Your Own Interactive Game

Step into the role of a game architect and let your imagination run wild! In this
challenge, you will use platforms like Scratch or Unity to create your very own
interactive game. From concept to code, you’ll develop a game that is both fun
and challenging, showcasing your skills in creativity and programming.

Event Highlights:

Time Allotment: 120 minutes of creative coding

Team Composition: Two participants per team

Note: Specific criteria will be unveiled on the day of the challenge.

Judgment Criteria:

 Creativity: How unique, original and innovative is your game?

 Visual Appeal: Are the graphics and animations captivating?

 Technical Excellence: Is your game free of bugs and technical issues?

Web Development

showcases your HTML prowess and imaginative flair. Gear up to dazzle with
your HTML skills and seize victory in the competition!

Leaning Mind Talks (LM Talks)

LM Talks serve as a powerful medium for the exchange of knowledge, ideas,


and inspiration. They enable experts to educate, motivate, and advocate for
critical issues, while also enhancing the communication skills of speakers and
engaging audiences. Talks bring people together, fostering a sense of
community and encouraging problem-solving and innovation. They play a vital
role in raising awareness, sparking personal growth, and catalyzing positive
change in both individual lives and society as a whole. Ideas must be unique
and should not be copied from the internet or other sources.

Objectives:

1. To inspire students to explore new ideas and develop a curiosity for learning.

2. To improve their public speaking, presentation, and communication skills,


helping them express their thoughts effectively.

3. To boost self-confidence by allowing students to share their knowledge and


ideas with an audience.

4. Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills by researching and


presenting on a chosen topic.
