How Student Performance Is Determined


Student academic performance is judged by teachers against a broad range of learning outcomes from the Alberta Programs of
Study, based on evidence collected from a variety of sources.

Grade Level of Programming (GLP)


Grade Level of Programming (GLP) refers to the grade level of the Alberta Program of Studies. For most students, the GLP will be
the same as their enrolment grade. If the GLP is different from the enrolment grade, this means that instruction and learning activities
have been adjusted to a different grade level of the Alberta Program of Studies, that will better meet the learning needs of the
student. Student performance is reported relative to the student's GLP.
Description of Curriculum
Curriculum is the statement of outcomes and expectations for student performance, stated in terms of knowledge (what we want
students to know and understand), skills (what we want students to be able to do), and attitudes (how we want students to feel about

Goal:
Umeed is encouraged to focus on developing more complex phrases during oral
activities, which will help enhance her language skills and deepen her communication
abilities. Incorporating conjunctions such as "and" or "but" can further enrich their
sentences, making her communication more dynamic and expressive.
