School CEO Speech (Re-check with Dr. Abeer if we need to update the word of mouth).
I would like to thank our staff, teachers, parents, and students for being a part of a growing
school with endless potential. MIS is proud of its accomplishments during the short, intense time
of growth. With a start of kindergarten section along with elementary level, we have now grown
into a full school with 12 grades of exceptional academic planning. We have handpicked our
teachers and are proud of their accomplishments in contributing to excelling the status of MIS
nationally.
Each classroom is full of students and teachers who share their innovative ideas and plan to
create a better future. Students and staff continue to explore technological advantages.
Therefore, MIS applied E-Learning.
Our goal is to prepare our students for the world by providing them with a global exposure, such
as international curriculums along with Common Core State Standards, which has a reflection on
our students. Each year, they get ready to face more challenges.
Students who graduate from MIS will be ready to adapt as the world around them changes, and
will feel that they were given all the opportunities to excel, as their peers outside of MIS.
It’s our promise to you that we will never stop learning to teach
School’s CEO,
Dr. Abeer Attalla
MIS Admission Policy and Process:
Welcome to Al Moktashef Int’l Schools- Jeddah
At MIS, there are two sections, an American curriculum section, and a British section, in addition to the
special needs department. Applications for enrollment are accepted at any time during the year. In
April, all applications are processed according to established priorities. Students who are re-enrolling
are given priority. Others are considered according to priority and space available. Students are most
welcome at all our six campuses.
The admission office is open daily from 08:00 am until 02:00 pm, Sunday to Thursday, throughout the
school year. You are kindly requested to call the school to make an appointment with the admissions
office in case you need to schedule a school tour or to see the school registrar. Our contact
information is as follows:
Process
The admission form must be completed fully and accurately. All relevant informationmust be declared,
including details of any disciplinary, social, physical, medical or psychological problems. Relevant
medical and educational psychologist reports should be copied to the school if appropriate.
All prospective students wishing to register and enroll at MIS must adhere to the admission policy. It is
the policy of the school to selectively admit any student to the school that completes all application
information along with all documents necessary for registration and successfully passes the entrance
interview and examination. After the student passes the placement test, all applications and required
documents must be received and approved by the school’s concerned administrators in order for the
student to be accepted. All decisions for admission and placement will be made strictly in the best
interest of the applicant; therefore, the school reserves the right to deny testing or placement.
After the student passes the placement test, the school’s admissions committee will review the
prospective student’s application, transcripts, and report cards for the past three years from previous
schools to determine if the student is eligible to be accepted in MIS.
Prospective students must successfully pass the entrance exam and achieve grade-level scores to
be considered for placement.
An assessment fee (non-refundable / non-deductible) must be paid in the accountant’s office prior to the
test.
It is the responsibility of parents to inform the registrar if they are aware of any special educational
needs and difficulties that the student may have at the time of submission of the application. Students
suspected of requiring special educational needs that cannot be provided by the school may be asked to
provide assessment information from independent professional evaluation centers prior to making a
decision for eligibility for admission and placement testing. Based on test results, the school reserves
the right to offer various options, such as acceptance, denial of admission, or acceptance to a lower
level.
Priority for admission will be given to current re-enrolling students and their siblings. Students
requesting to register after the closing date of general registration will be placed on a first–come, first-
served basis. Once classes are full, prospective applicants will be placed on a waiting list, which does
not guarantee placement.

MIS requires student records from the applicant’s previous school before any student is accepted.
These records include reports and transcripts. MIS reserves the right to contact the applicant’s
previous school prior to acceptance.

partnership, we have introduced the Academic Performance Log, which enables you to monitor your
child's academic performance. This feature provides access to your child's performance reports, test
scores, attendance records, and more. By regularly checking this log, you can stay informed about your
child's progress and take the necessary steps to support their learning at home.

to stay informed and use this feature to work with us in promoting positive behavior and academic
success for all students.
Parent-Student-Teacher Communication
MIS keeps in touch with a student’s parents to inform them of their child’s progress. This may be
done in a number of ways:
1. Parent/Teacher Conferences: These are held three times per year. The purpose of these
meetings is to update parents on their child’s progress and highlight any areas of study that need
improvement. This will allow parents the opportunity to give their child the support and
encouragement they need at home.
2. Parent/Teacher Appointments: Appointments are scheduled through Student Affairs. These
will take place if a teacher or parent has an urgent matter to discuss.
3. Others: Letters may be sent home, emails, SMS messages, or through academic progress
reports.
Curriculum Features
o The curriculum is designed to facilitate the integration of subject matter disciplines by organizing the
extensive body of knowledge that children must acquire into a set of coherent and meaningful concepts.
This approach enables teachers to collaborate across disciplines, providing students with ample
opportunities to acquire knowledge and develop skills.
o Our curriculum is aligned with national and state standards and is regularly updated to incorporate the
latest research and best practices in education. For instance, the Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
are followed for English and Mathematics, while the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are used
for science.
o In the elementary school, students receive a strong foundation in core subjects such as English
Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. They also participate in special classes such as
Art, Music, P.E., and Foreign Language.
o In the secondary school, students have the opportunity to take advanced courses in a variety of
subjects, including SAT courses, SAAT Courses, and GAT. Our courses offer rigorous coursework that
prepares students for college-level work and provides them with the opportunity to join prestigious
universities.
o Our curriculum is designed to provide students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for
success in college, career, and life.
Academic Support
At MIS, we strive to providing academic support services to ensure that all students have the opportunity
to succeed. We offer a range of support services, including intervention classes, Individual Learning
Plans, and counseling, to help students who need extra assistance.
Intervention Classes: We offer intervention classes for students who need extra academic support. These
classes are designed to provide targeted instruction and support to help students improve their skills
and catch up with their peers.
• Intervention classes are offered during the school day and are taught by certified teachers who are trained
in providing targeted instruction and support. These classes are available for students in all grade levels
and in a variety of subjects, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Arabic.
• Students who are recommended for intervention classes will receive notification from their school or
counselor and will be provided with a schedule of classes.
Individual Learning Plans (ILP): We recognize that every student has unique learning needs and styles.
To support this, we offer Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to help students set academic goals, track their
progress, and receive individualized support.
• ILPs are developed in collaboration with the student and their teacher(s). The ILP process begins with
an assessment of the student's strengths and areas for improvement, as well as their learning style and
preferences. Based on this assessment, the ILP plan is developed with specific, measurable, and
achievable goals for the student.
• The ILP includes strategies for achieving these goals, such as specific assignments, projects, study
habits, and other interventions. The ILP also includes a timeline for monitoring progress and adjusting
the plan as needed.
Counseling: Our counseling services are available to students who need emotional or mental health
support or guidance with academic or personal issues. Our counselors are trained professionals who
provide individual and group counseling, as well as referrals to outside resources as needed.
All of our support services are available to students free of charge. Students can access these services
by scheduling an appointment with their teacher or counselor or by visiting the school's support center.
We encourage all students to take advantage of these services to help them achieve their full potential
and succeed academically.
Assessment & Evaluation
We use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate student progress and performance. We believe that
multiple measures of assessment provide a more comprehensive understanding of each student's
learning and progress.
Grading Policies: We use an effective grading system to evaluate student performance. Each grade level
has a specific grading policy.
• Grading policies typically include information on how assignments, tests, and projects are weighted, as
well as late work policies and extra credit opportunities.
Technology Integration
