B. Performance Learners analyze and explain the Moon’s phases using models and visuals. They engage
Standards in discussions, activities, and hands-on modeling to illustrate the lunar cycle, using clear
and precise scientific language.
C. Learning Infer the pattern in the changes in the appearance of the Moon: Its Characteristics
Competencies (PHASES OF THE MOON)
D. Objectives Identify the different phases of the Moon and describe their characteristics.
Appreciate the Moon's changing appearance by working collaboratively in groups.
Create a diagram or model illustrating the phases of the Moon with accurate labeling.
E. Integration Mathematics: Understanding patterns and sequences in the lunar cycle.
Art: Creating visual representations of moon phases.
Geography: Exploring how different regions interpret the moon’s phases
scientifically.
Physical Education: A movement-based activity where students act out the
Moon’s orbit around Earth to understand its phases.
ICT: Using presentation, online simulations, or digital tools to track and
document Moon phases.

object from the pocket and describe it." objects: a flashlight, a ball, and a
picture of the Moon.)
Questions:
2️⃣ Half of the Moon is visible, and it is (Teacher describes different phases
increasing in size. What phase is this? (Answer: while students respond.)

IV. EVALUATION
Directions:
A. Answer the following questions about the phases of the Moon. (5 points – 1 point each)
