Module Code and Tite EIS SUR5 M03 04 22: Manage Surveying Computations
Module Description: This module of competency specifies the outcomes required to solve a
range of surveying and basic engineering-related problems on construction sites. It requires the
ability to identify, analyse, and evaluate data and management requirements to perform surveying
computations.
This module of competency supports the application of accuracy, communication, organizational
and problem-solving skills; interpreting technical documentation the ability to demonstrate initiative
and enterprise; human resource management; and a sound understanding of technology.
Training Outcome
At the end of the module the trainee will be able to attain the following training objectives:

Module Description: This Module specifies the training required to ensure the building
process complies with the Building Code of Ethiopia and relevant Ethiopian code of
Standards. It includes understand, perform, evaluation and interpretation of building
requirements, classification of buildings according to the relevant Building Code of Ethiopia
(BCE) criteria and strategies.

communication and problem-solving skills; interpreting technical documentation; and high-level
understanding of technology.

Module CODE AND TITLE EIS SUR5 10 0422 Land and Planning Law to Surveying
Module Description : This Module of competency specifies the outcomes required to assist surveyors
to mark out urban structures and to identify urban lots and the improvements there on. It requires the
ability to determine land and planning law, collect and write specifications for appropriate
documentation, and compile a plan to an approving authority suitable to accompany a development
application.
