I. BACKGROUND ANALYSIS

Solar Streetlights are a type of street lighting that utilizes solar energy to

power LED lamps.

SitioSitio Riverside, a small community in Baranggay Hubasan, Hinundayan,

Southern Leyte, has taken a significant step towards sustainability and community

development with the installation of solar street lights. This initiative has not only

provided a reliable source of lighting the but has also had profound impact on

community's. The prior to the installation of solar street lights. Sitio Riverside relied

on traditional sources of lighting, such as candles and, which were not only

hazardous but also expensive. The community's remote location and limited agress

to electricity made It difficult for residents of the Baranggay Hubasan Sitio Riverside
to enjoy the benefits of modern lighting. The lack of visibility increases the possibility

of accidents, injuries, and crime.

One of the most significant positive effects of the solar street lights has been the

improvement in Community safety. Residents can now move around safely at night,

reducing the risk of accidents and aimes.

The proposed installation of solar-powered streetlight addresses critical shortage,

providing a safe reliable, and suistanable lighting solution for the community, which

improves safety, promotes community interacton, and improves the overall quality of

life in sitio riverside.

Overall, these solar powered streelights can provide and help the residents of

Sitio Riverside, Brgy. Hubasan. This would not only bolster safety and security. We

believe that this project will have a positive impact on the community and contribute

to the overall developement of the area.

II. PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The primary objective of this project is:

1. It has an effective advantage for the residents of the sitio

2. Improve safety road and avoid accident

3. Minimize energy cost by utilizing reliable solar energy and sustainable solar

streetlights
III. EXPECTED OUTPUT OR INCOME OF THE PROJECT

The installation of solar street lights in Sitio Riverside,Brgy. Hubasan is expected

to bring significant benefits. The project will also provide brighter and safer streets,

reducing crime and improving the overall quality of life for residents.

IV. RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN

The installation of solar streetlights involves technical risks such as equipment

failure, electrical shock, and technical difficulties. To mitigate these risks, it is

important to have a:

Qualified Technicians

1. Technicians with experience and knowledge in installing solar streetlights

are required to ensure that the equipment is installed correctly and safely.

2. They should also be knowledgeable about safety protocols and emergency

response procedures.

3. Technicians should have experience using the necessary tools and

equipment for installing solar streetlights.

Regular Maintenance Schedules

1. Regular maintenance schedules are necessary to ensure that the

equipment functions properly and efficiently.

2. This includes checking the equipment, replacing damaged parts, and

cleaning the solar panels.


3. Maintenance records should also be kept to ensure that the equipment is

properly maintained.

Safety Protocols

1. Safety protocols such as the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

and emergency response plans are necessary to ensure the safety of

technicians while working.

2. Safety harnesses, safety glasses, and gloves should also be used to

protect technicians from potential hazards.

3. Technicians should also be knowledgeable about safety protocols and

emergency response procedures.

Weather Precautions

1. Precautions should be taken to ensure the safety of technicians while

working in different weather conditions.

2. Work should be avoided during heavy rain, strong winds, or other adverse

weather conditions.

3. Contingency plans should also be in place in case of bad weather.

1. An emergency response plan is necessary to ensure that technicians are

prepared for emergency situations.

2. The plan should include procedures for accidents, illnesses, and other

emergency situations.
