<center><p style = "font-family:arial; color:#FFFFFF;">The Resistance was

discovered by the year 1827 from Georg Simon Ohm, a German electrician. Ohm was
born in Germany, in the city of Erlangen at 1787 and died at 1854. Georg Simon Ohm
noticed that different materials that are considered as electrically conductive,
will not allow the current to flow within their body
with the same ease. The difficulty that each material had, had to do with some
parameters such as the type of the material and some external factors such as the
temperature or the
humidity of the atmosphere. Resistors are used as parts in electronic circuits.
They are extremely commonplace in most electronic designs and circuits. Resistors
can be made of various compounds and films, as well as wire as you can imagine
there are many categories of resistors in the market depending on your needs such
as Carbon film resistors, Metal film resistors, Variable resistors (potentiometer),
Power resistors, Wire wound resistors, etc.

<center><p style = "font-family:arial; color:#FFFFFF;">A resistor is an

electrical component that limits or regulates the flow of electrical current in an
electronic circuit.
Resistors can also be used to provide a specific voltage for an active device such
as a transistor.</p></center>

<title>HOW DOES IT WORKS AND IT's APPLICATION</title>
</head>

<body>
<center><h1><FONT COLOR=#FF8040>HOW DOES IT WORKS</h1></center>
<center><p style = "font-family:arial; color:#FFFFFF;">If it is a conductor, the
resistance to the flow of current is less and vice versa for an insulator. A
Resistor works by using this natural property ofmresistivity/conductivity of any
material. It absorbs energy from the flow of electrons (electric energy) and
dissipates in the form of heat (thermal energy)</p></center>

<center><h1><FONT COLOR=#FF8040>APPLICATON OF RESISTORS</h1></center>

<center><p style = "font-family:arial; color:#FFFFFF;">A resistor is a passive two-
terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit
element. In electronic circuits, resistors are used to reduce current flow, adjust
signal levels, to divide voltages, bias active elements, and terminate transmission
lines, among other use.

<center><h1><FONT COLOR=#FF8040>READING RESISTOR VALUE
CHART</h1></center>

<body>
<p style = "font-family:arial; color:#FFFFFF;">The first two bands always denote
the first two digits of the resistance value in ohms. On a three or four-band
resistor, the third
band represents the multiplier. This multiplier will basically shift your decimal
place around to change your value from mega ohms to milliohms and anywhere in
between.
