1. It takes 20 workers 4 days to harvest a tomato plantation. 14


Given that the workers harvest at the same rate, how long will it take 25 workers to harvest
the same plantation? [2]

2. A 3D-printer prints a smartphone case in 20 minutes.


(i) How long does it take to print 50 smartphone cases? [1]

Eight 3D-printers are deployed to print the 50 smartphone cases.


(ii) Calculate the amount of time needed in hours and minutes. [2]

3. Three seamstresses can sew 6 blouses in 2 hours.


Given that all the seamstresses sew at the same rate, find the time it will take two of them to
sew 15 blouses. [3]

4. 35 workers are employed to complete a construction project in 16 days.
Before the project starts, the boss of the company is told that he need to complete the
project in 14 days.
Assuming that all the workers work at the same rate, how many more workers does he need
to employ in order to complete the project on time? [3]

5. At a sports camp, there is sufficient food for 72 athletes to last 6 days.


If 18 athletes are absent from the camp, how many more days can the food last for the other
athletes.? [3]
