III. DETAIL ANSWER.

1. Write the summary of ‘Geography Lesson’

In this poem the poet describes the scene of the city and the country from a
jet plane. He looked through the window and found the city looked neatly
planned. But on ground it looked without plan or order.
When the jet reached ten thousand feet, he realised the logic of geography.
He saw the rivers and valleys. Land and water are the primary needs of the
people. He understood the reason why the cities are situated on the river
banks and valleys.
From the height of six miles, he noticed that the earth looked round. It had
more water than land. But he failed to understand why people hated each
other, divided the land into separate units and killed each other.

II. DETAI ANSWER

1. Write the summary of the lesson ‘How the camel got its hump ‘.
Ans. The story ‘How the camel got its hump’ is a fable written by a noted
writer Rudyard Kipling. The story is about the time when animals had just
started working for man. However, while the other animals worked, the
camel would just laze around in the desert, refusing to do any work. He
would say only ‘hump’ when the animals asked him to do work with them.
Finally, a Djinn took matters into his hands and asked him why he wouldn’t
work. The camel again uttered ‘hump’. Then the Djinn did some magic and
as the camel said hump there emerged a bump on its beautiful back. The
Djinn said that now with the hump the camel should work tirelessly for the
days and said that the hump was a reminder to him of the days when he
refused to work.
