During the training from 3rd to 7th June 2024, foundational knowledge and practical skills
related to PLC and automation were acquired. The training began with understanding basic
concepts and industrial applications of PLCs. It progressed to studying the structure and wiring
of PLCs, including the use of NO/NC push buttons, AC/DC contactors, and relay boards.
Practical sessions included making PLC connections, installing communication software
(RSLink Classic and RSLogix 500), and programming logical gates (AND, OR, NOT, NAND,
NOR, XOR, XNOR) using NO/NC switches. Each program's correctness was verified by
connecting the PC to the PLC, ensuring a thorough understanding of the processes involved.

interlocking, and timers. The week started with foundational knowledge on holding and
interlocking, crucial for maintaining output states. The focus then shifted to timers and
counters, with detailed learning on the Ton Timer and its use in delaying outputs. This was
followed by solving problems with the Ton Timer and verifying ladder diagrams involving the
Toff Counter. The week concluded with an in-depth look at the Toff Timer, solving related
problems, and ensuring correct implementation in ladder diagrams. This blend of theory and
practical exercises provided a solid grasp of essential PLC functions.

From June 18th to June 22nd, 2024, On June 18th, I delved into the concept of Retentive Timer On
(RTO) timers, understanding their functionality in retaining accumulated time even after the rung
becomes false. This was complemented by solving several problems related to RTO timers, which
helped solidify my grasp on their practical applications. Additionally, I explored different types of
counters, specifically UP counters and DOWN counters, learning their mechanisms and
applications in various control systems.
The next day, June 19th, was dedicated to practicing problems involving UP and DOWN
counters to strengthen my understanding and application of these concepts. I also received an
introduction to compare and compute mathematics, focusing on the concepts of limits and
equality, which are crucial for controlling operations and making decisions in programming.
On June 20th, I learned how to implement a toggle mechanism using a single switch or push
button to turn devices ON and OFF, understanding the logic behind toggling states and their
practical uses. Moreover, I studied fundamental arithmetic operations such as addition,
subtraction, multiplication, and division within compute mathematics, practicing their
implementation to perform various calculations and control tasks.
June 21st was focused on exploring essential program control instructions, including Master
Control Relay (MCR), Jump (JMP), Label (LBR), and Temporary End (TND). I solved
practical problems to apply these program control instructions, enhancing my ability to manage
and control program flow efficiently. This day provided valuable insights into how these
instructions influence and control the execution sequence in programs, making the control logic
more flexible and manageable.
Finally, on June 22nd, Institute conducted a comprehensive practice test on Timer and Counter
topics to evaluate my understanding and proficiency. The test results were reviewed and
analyzed to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Additionally, I discussed various
strategies and techniques to approach and solve timer and counter problems more efficiently,
aiming to enhance my problem-solving skills and application of knowledge in practical
situations.

rom 24th June to 29th June 2024, I engaged in a comprehensive study and practical application
of SCADA software. Initially, I learned about the basics of SCADA, its architecture, and its
various functions such as data acquisition, communication, data presentation, and control. This
foundational knowledge was crucial for understanding how SCADA systems are utilized across
different industries for real-time monitoring and control.
Throughout the week, I tackled various tasks and problems, including solving timer-related
issues, designing circuits, and developing programming solutions. Each day involved hands-on
practice where I designed, implemented, and verified solutions using SCADA software on the
PC. I also completed specific tasks assigned by the teacher, which further enhanced my
proficiency. By the end of the week, I had a solid understanding of SCADA functions and
practical experience in creating and validating automated control systems.

From 8th to 13th July 2024, the focus was on project development under the guidance of the
teacher. On the first day, we discussed the project requirements and received three potential
topics for each group. The second day was dedicated to researching additional information about
these topics to gain a deeper understanding.
On the third day, we used logical approaches to develop basic programs and circuit designs for
the assigned topics. With the teacher's guidance, we translated these designs into a program on
the PC on the fourth day. The fifth day involved identifying and resolving any errors in the
program with the help of the teacher. Finally, on the sixth day, we completed the final version of
the program on the PC and verified its output to ensure it worked as intended.
