Exercise 9.3 Aspect denied message

9.3.1 Description
This exercise deals with a access denied problem by using the AppLog viewer as
analyze tool.

9.3.2 Objectives
Upon completion of this exercise you will be able to:
 Make a log init analyze of the object manager protocol.

9.3.4 Exercise Steps


1. Start the AppLog viewer. Select the application AfWADServer.
2. Select the component ObjectManagerProtocol and set the log level to 2.
3. Since the problem occurs during start-up you need to drag the log to the tab Log
initial level. You must set the log level to 3.
4. You can save the log to file.
5. Press Get Messages.
6. Close the Applog Viewer
7. Make a restart of the Aspect Server.
8. The log file is large.
Start from a time close to the error message time:
Search for a string like follow: AdsTransactionReply (make case sensitive
search)
Look for errors =
9. If you see an error code starting with 0x8000
Look for the Tag =
Here you will see the Node, Application and PID.
10. Below is an example with no error:
