After completing your LASSI 2 assessment, I want you to review your results. You can
also compare your results from your first attempt to see where you may have had some
changes, gains and regression. Look at the turquoise-colored bars on your LASSI results.
The larger the bar, the better you are doing in that index/category. Ideally, you would like
to see the bars at 50 or higher. Please answer the following questions:
1. Identify the indexes where you had the largest bars. These are the indexes where you
are performing the best. In 1-2 paragraphs talk about the indexes where you are doing
well (Ex. ANX – Anxiety), why, and how you continue to do well in these areas?
My two highest bars are anxiety and information processing. This semester I
have begun to interpret more of my teachings into the work I do and use them as
reference points to help guide me and retain information. I don't necessarily agree
with my anxiety score as I feel that should be lower, I still need to work out
problems regarding confrontation and expressiveness in branching out and asking
for help.
2. Identify the indexes where you had the smallest bars. These are the indexes where
you have the greatest potential for growth. In 1-2 paragraphs talk about the indexes
where you would like to focus your efforts for improvement (Ex. ATT – Attention),
identify the barriers, and what strategies, tools and resources will you use to grow in
these areas?
My smallest bars were concentration and time management. I continue to get
easily lost and over encumbered in any interest of study and instead of pursuing it
I slowly fade out of my learning techniques and my interpretation of the subject at
hand. I will grow in these areas once I fully commit and have a sense of
understanding what I want to do with my life.
Part B (Learning preference & ways to improve your learning)-20 points
Pull out your Personal Summary Sheet that we did out of your “Your Smarter Than you
Think” textbook. It’s the white book. We did this assessment around the middle of the
semester and the majority of it was done in class. On it, I should have circled your
learning strengths. Your assignment throughout the semester was to read about your
strengths. There is information in this textbook that provides recommended strategies.
Use this information along with any other resources to help you describe to me your
learning strengths and weaknesses and some strategies you may utilize and/or explore in
the future.
i will begin to explore campus resources and other programs that help with my
academic success. I have been reluctant to seek help because I feel the need to
pursue my academic career by myself, and it isn't ethical nor the smart decision.
Take a minute to look back at what we did throughout the semester. Then answer the
following questions? Also look at the chart and let me know which projects/assignments
you found helpful.
1. What strategies and/or topics did you find to be the most helpful?
What i found the moist helpful is when we discussed programs and resources that
can help us or provide assistance. I didn't submit anything during that discussion
but I spent hours looking into others replies on what they found helpful. It was
helpful considering a lot of people have the same feats so this was a way to share
and connect, by knowing you aren't alone.
2. What strategies and/or topics did you find the least helpful? Do you have any
additional recommendations that can help make the class better?
I found that the asse4sments weren't as helpful as I thought they'd be. I'd prefer it
was more plentiful in providing information on how to improve but that might be
something each of us individually have to figure out and adapt to.
