MINIMUM MAINTENANCE BLOCK

DESCRIPTION

The most important factor in maintenance operations, the diagnostic

system, developped for the A100 equipment, has been favourably received
by the technical departments of our clients.

However, its size and cost seemed to prevent it from being generally
accepted by all of our breakdown technicians. Therefore, AUTINOR S.A. has
undertaken to come up with, in collaboration with the users, a diagnostic
tool adapted to the "TOP LEVEL". As a result, the essential elements have
been defined and the overall picture elaborated upon :

- its size and strength means that it fits into the. mechanic's
pocket as easily as a matchbox.

- its use should be limited to a fault indication code

in case of breakdown for the complete range of
installationIO.

- its price means that all maintenance departments should be

able to afford one.

Al' of these thinas have contributed to the developprnent of a minimum

maintenance block in the form of an anodised aluminium 'cube' ( 45 x 32 x
16rnm ). To protect i t against shock and darnage, the electrica 1 cornponents
have been individually sealed.

The MINI-BLOC is fully compatible with the following AUT1NQR equipment

A50, HA50, A 100, A 150, A 160, A 190, A200.

OPERATION PRINCIPLE

The "MINI-VISU MAINTENANCE TOOL" is connected to the diagnostic socket

commonly used by the whole range of AUTINOR'S microprocessor
controllers.

The information is displayed by 8 light emitting diodes (LED) located on

the front face of the MINI-BLOC. The low power supply voltage required for
these is provided by the controller being tested.

Two kinds of relevant information are displayed by the MINI-BLOC,

depending on the "FAULT" ( LED marked 'DEF' ) turned "on" and "off" on the
microprocessor board equipment.

Except for the esses described below for LEDs 4 and 5, v/hen the "FAULT"
light ( marked 'DEF' ) on the microprocessor board is turned off, then the
permanently shining LEDs of the MINI-BLOC are showing the information
according to symbols found to the right of the front panel.

The meaning of each LED is given below :

Meaning ;

LED 0 INPH A200 only. This LED indicates that the controller is
working with its power supply inverted. (Selects
contactor MO instead of DE for downward and
vice-versa. Also inverses power operated door
command relays).

LED 1 o Safety circuit before point "6" established. ( Limit

switch, s a f e t y gear contact, car stop push-button etc. )

LED 2 8 Car door closed.

LED 3 10 Doors electronically interlocked.

LED 4 NV If permanently lit : The car has landed at the floor's

level between two stop vanes.

If flashing : ( A200 only ) The car is in the

levelling zone defined by two stop
vanes.
LED 5 CG If permanently lit : Elevator is switched to INSPECTION
control or electrical EMERGENCY
operation.

If flashing : Elevator is switched to FIREMAN'S

service.

In both cases, the LED light on the microprocessor

board is lit because the lift is unavailable for the
external call.

LED 6 CAB Lower beam 'B' of impulse sensor broken by a vane.

LED 7 CAA Upper beam 'A' of impulse sensor broken by a vane.

When the "DEF" ( FAULT ) light on the microprocessor board is lit, and some
of the LED's are flashing, then the displayed information gives a FAULT
NUMBER.lt is this fault which prevents the lift from working properly.

The FAULT NUMBER which corresponds to the fault locating list is

described below :

Add together the numbers marked to the left of the fleshing LED's :

For example, if the LED's 1, 3 and 4 are flashing, the fault number is :

1I :•' i rr,
S. LLL.'
iI "}-i 4 1
T A {',. iLI-
cr-i T \ + c; { i rn
\J •-> i ^ O ( 1_LL.'

i hereiors, fault number "1 :>" means "Relay MO not broken on time",
eccordinq to the fault locating list for the A200, BLR","Relay GV not
broken at slow speed time", according to the fault locating list for the
A L_ i -,
CM
A *j'..-'.
r-i

NOTh : Each controller tupe has its own "FAULT LOCATING LIST", i his list
is subject to change.

MEMORY FOR THE PROGRAMME PUT ON IT; PLEASE CONTACT OUR
DIGITAL MAINTENANCE BLOCK ( A 1 O Q / A 1 0 1 / A 1 5 0 / A 1 6 0 )

THE DIGITAL MAINTENANCE BLOCK IS PRESENTED IN THE FORM OF A

METAL BOX MEASURING 1 55 X 1 10 X 40 MM.
IT CONTAINS A MICROPROCESSOR SYSTEM WHICH IS CAPABLE, WHEN IT
IS CONNECTED UP,OF COMMUNICATION WITH THE MICROPROCESSOR ON THE
LIFT BOARD. IT CAN ALSO USE THE DATA THAT THE MICROPROCESSOR ON
THE BOARD SENDS OUT TO VISUALISE THE STATE OF THE MACHINE.
THE MAIN FUNCTION OF EACH DISPLAY, OR LED, IS FOUND ON THE FRONT
FACE. HOWEVER, IN ORDER YO BE ABLE TO GIVE AS MUCH INFORMATION AS
POSSIBLE IN SUCH A SMALL SPACE, EACH ONE OF THEM CAN BE MADE TO DO
MORE THAN ONE THING, AS DESCRIBED BELOW :

1 : RAZ RESET TO ZERO BUTTON. THIS BUTTON ALLOWS YOU TO

LAUNCH THE BLOCK PROGRAMME IN CASE OF A BAD START.

2 : NIVEAU THIS DISPLAY TELLS YOU AT WHICH LEVEL THE LIFT IS, IT
FLASHES WHILE THE RESET SEQUENCE IS IN PROGRESS.
SINCE THE DISPLAY IS IN HEXADECIMAL, FOR "10" IT WILL
SHOW "A", "1 1" = "B", "12" = "C", "13" = "D", "14° = "E", "15"
_ ..p.

3 : SCMT THIS DECIMAL POINT IS USED TO SHOW THAT THE

PROTECTION TEMPO OF THE MOBILE CAM HAS TRIGGERED.

4 : ZONE THIS DISPLAY SHOWS THE POSITION OF THE CAR BETWEEN

TWO LEVELS IN HEXADECIMAL.

CD
WHEN IT IS FLASHING, IT SHOWS A CUT IN THE SAFETY
CHAIN BEFORE THE "6" AND WORKING.

ORDRES THE ORDERS DISPLAY SHOWS TOWARDS WHICH LEVEL THE

CAR IS CALLED. ( IN HEXADECIMAL ).
THE DISPLAY ALSO SHOWS THE WORKING OF THE
AUTOMATIC CAR LIGHT AND THE FLASHING 'OCCUPIED-
LIGHT. IT WILL THEREFORE DISPLAY "0" WITHOUT ORDERS,
BUT WHEN THE CAR LIGHT IS LIT ON THE
A100,A 10 I/A 150, THE "0" IS REPLACED BY V WHILE THE
COMMON LANDING IS RE-ESTABLISHED AND WILL GO OUT
AT THE SAME TIME AS THE AUTOMATIC LIGHT. THE
INSPECTION MANOEUVRE IS INDICATED BY THE LETTER H.
DIGITAL MAINTENANCE BLOCK ( A 1 0 0 / A 1 0 1 / A 1 5 0 / A 1 6 0 )-CONTD.

7 : AP THE DECIMAL POINT REMAINS LIT WHEN THE ORDER IS A

CALL (LANDING). AFTER THE MOVEMENT, IT GOES OUT WHEN
THE COMMON CAR HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED.
IN CASE OF A CALL IN PRESENCE, IT GOES OUT AT THE
SAME TIME AS THE CAR LIGHT.
IF IT FLASHES, IT IS TO SHOW THE USE OF THE BUTTON
"EA" IN THE CAR, AND IT DOES NOT STOP DOING THIS UNTIL
A NEW START.

8 : SECURITIES THE SAFETY DISPLAY DOES TWO JOBS :

LIT : IT INDICATES THE LAST VALIDATED SAFETY.
FOR (A.= 10) A IF THE DOORS ARE LOCKED
8 IF THE DOORS ARE CLOSED
6 IF THE DOORS ARE OPEN
FLASHING : IT SHOWS THE FAULT NUMBER HAVING
CAUSED THE MACHINE TO STOP.

REFER TO THE LIST OF A100 FAULTS WITH THE

M1NIBLOC, ONLY FROM 1 TO 15 ( IN HEXADECIMAL FOR THE
DIGIT BLOCK, THEREFORE FROM 1 TO F ), WITH FAULT "0"
AS WELL FOR THE SLIDING INTEGRATOR.

LIKEWISE, FOR THE A 1 0 1 AND A150, REFER TO THE

CORRESPONDING LIST; THE NUMBER OF FAULTS MORE THAN
16, THE DIGIT OF THE ORDERS (N°6 ON THE PLAN), IS USED
. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SAFETY DIGIT AND THE NUMBER
TOGETHER.

9 : IP THE DECIMAL POINT SHOWS THE STATE OF THE POSSIBLE

CONTACT OF THE SPEED LI MITER.

10 : EX M VISUALISATION OF THE SLOW-DOWN CONTACT AT THE

ERYTOP - FOR A 100 ONLY.

EX D VISUALISATION OF THE SLOW-DOWN CONTACT AT THE

VERY BOTTOM - FOR A100 ONLY.
DIGITAL MAINTENANCE BLOCK ( A 1 O Q / A 101/A 1 5 0 / A 1 6 0 )-CONTD.

12 : OR M VISUALISATION OF THE DIRECTION OF THE NEXT

13 : OR D VISUALISATION OF THE DIRECTION OF THE NEXT

DEPARTURE GOING DOWN

14 : M VISUALISATION OF THE CONTACT UP COMMAND

15 : D VISUALISATION OF THE CONTACT DOWN COMMAND

16 : A VISUALISATION OF THE TOP BEAM OF THE SENSOR (CAA).

17 : B VISUALISATION OF THE BOTTOM BEAM OF THE SENSOR

(CAB).

18: GV VISUALISATION OF THE HIGH SPEED COMMAND CONTACT.

19 : CAME VISUALISATION OF THE MOBILE CAM COMMAND.

N.B. IF THE BLOCK IS WORKING PROPERLY, THEN THIS IMPLIES THAT THE
COMPUTERISED PART OF THE PROCESSOR BOARD IS ALSO WORKING
PROPERLY.

WHEN THE DIGIT BLOCK HAS BEEN FORESEEN INITIALLY FOR THE A 100,
IT SHOULD BE MODIFIED AS A RESULT IN OUR WORKSHOP SO THAT IT WORKS-
JUST AS WELL IN A 10 !, A 150, A 160.
