Guidelines for Google Classroom
Dear Parents,
Learning is a continuous process. There are always new skills to learn and
techniques for us to adopt. We must continually look for ways to improve. We are
glad to inform you about the new online Teaching Leaning platform -Gsuite for
Education. Gsuite is a suite of Google tools and services that are designed to
empower educators and students as they learn and innovate together. School will be
using Google classroom for sharing assignments, Quiz and other learning content
with students. Classes will be held offline. Google meet app will be used in case
classes are held in online/hybrid mode. Google meet is integrated with Google
Classroom.
 Gmail Ids of your ward for further communication and for using Google
Classroom have been provided in the attached files. All the parents are
requested to change the one time password after first login and keep a strong
password.
 Also find attached one time classrooms codes for all the subjects. Students
need to use these codes and join their classroom only first time. After that
classrooms will always be visible in their Google Classroom.
 Google meet link will not be shared with students as it is integrated with
Google classroom.
 Students must not share their Ids with anyone else except parents. They will
be held responsible if their Ids are misused.

Students are required to follow the following guidelines for using Google
Classroom.(Laptop Users)

1 Sign in gmail with your official school email Id provided by school.


2 Type classroom.google.com in the google chrome browser.
3 Click on Plus sign + and select Join Class

4 Enter Class code provided to you and click on Join

5 Class for which you have entered code will get added to your classroom and
open.
6 Click on three lines and select classes. Repeat the steps 4 and 5 for all the classes.

7 Classroom has three tabs Stream, Classwork and People

 Stream shows the announcements made by teacher and due upcoming tasks
 Classwork shows the assignments, Quiz, material and other content shared by
teacher
 People shows name of teacher taking that subject.

8 Stream shows announcements and upcoming tasks

9 To see assignments and content shared byteacher click classwork tab

10 Open assignment by double click and view assignment


11 Select your file / homework for the given assignment by clicking add

12 Click file and select type of file you have created for assignment
13 Browse file for uploading your assignment and click open

14 Click hand in and add private comment to teacher regarding your work

15 We can check to do and Done work by selecting To do option


16 To do tab shows work to be done and done tab shows work submitted by you

17 Calender option is used to see the due dates for assignments and events and
Notifications show class notifications if in setting notifications are enabled.
18 Class Drive Folder shows a folder of assignments in your Google Drive.

19 Students can attend online class of a particular subject from Google Classroom
of the respective subject by clicking meet Link.
Google Classroom for Mobile users

1 Download Google Classroom App


2 Open Google Classroom with your official school email Id

3 Click on Plus sign + and select Join Class


4 Enter Class code provided to you and click on Join

5 Class for which you have entered code will get added to your classroom andopen

6 Repeat the steps 4 and 5 for all the classes.
