and LED Indicators

LED Monitor Four-digit, 7-segment LED monitor which displays the followings according to the
operation modes.
In Running mode: Running status information (e.g. output frequency, current, and
voltage) When a light alarm occurs, L-AL is displayed.
In Programming mode: Menus, function codes and the data
In Alarm mode: Alarm code, which identifies the alarm factor when the protective function
is activated.
Program/Reset key which switches the operation modes of the inverter.

PRG In Running mode: Press the key switches the inverter to Programming mode.
Operation Keys RESET In Programming mode: Press the key switches the inverter to Running mode.
In Alarm mode: Press the key after removing the alarm factor will switch the inverter to
Running mode.

1
Function/Data key which switches the operations you want to do in each mode as follows:
In Running mode: Press the key switches the information to be displayed concerning the
status of the inverter (output frequency (Hz), output current (A), output voltage (V), etc.).
FUNC When a light alarm is displayed, holding down the key to reset and it will switch back to

DATA Running mode.

In Programming mode: Press the key confirm function codes and data.
In Alarm mode: Press the key switch to the interface that displays the details of the
problem indicated by the alarm code.
RUN RUN key. Press the key to run the motor.

STOP STOP key. Press the key to stop the motor.

UP and DOWN keys. Press these keys to select the setting items and change the function
code data displayed on the LED monitor.

PANEL The operator panel’s “RUN” key lights when running command is valid. However, in
CONTROL LED Programming and Alarm modes, inverter will not run even if this LED lights.
These three LED indicators identify the unit of numeral displayed on the LED monitor in
LED Indicators Running mode by combination of lit and unlit states of them.

2 Copying data (TP-M2 panel has this function)

(1)After turn on the inverter, it automatically be in Running mode. In that mode, press
the “PRG/RESET”key to switch to Programming mode and the function selection
menu appears.
(2)Use the ”UP/DOWN” key to choose data copying code ”7.CPY”.
(3)Press the ”FUNC/DATA” key to show the list of data copying code.
(4)Use the “UP/DOWN” keys to select the desired function”CoPY” ,then press the
“FUNC/DATA” key to execute the selected function. So the data writed by panel will
be stored into the inverter’s memory. (If data copying function does not work, it
shows that the data has been protected.)
(5)When the selected function has been completed, it shows End.
(6)Press the “PRG/RESET” key to return to the list of data copying functions.
(7)Press the “PRG/RESET” key again to return to the menu.

Note: F80 parameter has to be modified by manual.

About data copying code: “rEAD” is to read data, reads the function code data out of
the inverter’s memory and stores it into the panel memory.”CoPY” is to write data, wirtes
data storted in the panel memory into the inverter’s memory. “UEr1” is verify data,

2
verifies(collates) the data stored in the panel memory with that in the inverter’s memory.
“ProT” is Data protection, which indicates data stored in the panel’s memory is being
protected. In this state, data stored in the in the panel’s memory can not be read. “CHEC”
is to read inverter running information. Inverter’s current running status information can
be checked by FRENIC Loader, such as informaiton of I/O,system, alarm and running
status, excluding function.
Data protection: Select the “Data Copying” (7.CPY) on the function selection menu
in Programming mode. When the(7.CPY)is displayed, holding the “FUNC/DATA” key
down for at least 5 seconds alternates data protection status between enabled or
disabled. (when enabling the disabled data protection, rERD switches to ProT. When
disabling the enabled data protection, ProT switches to rERD.)

3 Procedure of Inverter parameter settings

(1) Turn the inverter ON. It automatically enters Running mode. In that mode, press the
“PRG/RESET” key to switch to Programming mode. The function selection menu
appears.
(2) Use the UP/DOWN keys to choose the desired function code group from 1.F_ _ to
1.Y_ _.
(3) Press the “FUNC/DATA” keys to show “the list of function codes” selected.
(4) Use the UP/DOWN keys to choose the desired function code, then press the
“FUNC/DATA”
key. It shows the data of this function code.
(5) Change the function code data by UP/DOWN keys.
(6) Press the “FUNC/DATA” key to establish the function code data. If it shows “SAVE”,
the
data will be saved in the inverter’s memory. The display will return to the function
code list, then move to the next function code automatically. Press the
“PRG/RESET”key,cancels the change of data will be canceled.
(7) Press the “PRG/RESET” key to return to the main menu.
(Note: when check whether the alternating function data is correct, press
“PRG/RESET” key and then press UP/DOWN keys to choose “2.rEP” for checking.)
