Function behaviour
Headlamps (including extra main beam)
This function controls activation, deactivation and switching between dipped and main beam
headlamps. It also handles the "flash-to-pass" function, which for a short period activates the
high-beam headlamps.
The extra main beam lights are long range lights, complementing the main beam headlamps. There
are two types of extra main beam lights, one mounted in the roof sign area and one located in the
lamp units at the lower front area of the cab.
The headlamps are controlled by the ELCP. If both extra main beam lights are installed, the main
beam in the lower front is controlled by the ELCP and the main beam on the roof by a flexible switch.

Note
In variants with Bi-Xenon lights, there is a short delay before the lamp is lit in vehicle mode
Pre-running. This is due to the direct relationship between the number of times the lamp is lit
and its service life.

Fog light
This function controls the front and rear fog light, including the trailer fog light if a trailer is connected.
The front fog light is used to improve visibility in bad weather. The rear fog light is used to make the
vehicle more visible to other vehicles from the rear. Both front and rear fog light are automatically
deactivated every time the vehicle enters Accessory mode. The fog light is activated and deactivated
with the ELCP.

Preconditions:
● Available in vehicle modes Pre-running and Running.

● For the rear fog light, dipped beam, main beam or front fog light must be switched on.

Dynamic bending light

This function controls the horizontal adjustment of the dipped beam headlamps to create dynamic
bending light on the vehicle. The curve adjustment follows the movements of the steering wheel and
the vehicle speed, for example. While reverse driving, the dynamic bending light is disabled.
The dipped beam lights are activated and deactivated with the ELCP.

Preconditions:
● Available in vehicle mode Running.

● The dipped beam lights are activated.

● Vehicle speed and time as in the table below.
