Mid term exam 20 / 21 repair
1)- Give reasons;
- Blow moulding moulds typically contain a cooling system. (2)

- The cycle time for the injection molding of thermosetting polymers significantly longer than
that for the thermplastic. (2)
- Calendring process recommended for thermoplastic only. (2)
- In compression molding canot be used reinforcement materials. (2)
- - Filler and lubricants added to resins. (2)

2) – What are some attractive engineering properties of polymeric materials. (3)

3)- With the aid of sketches, what processes and materials (thermoset or thermoplastic ) do you
recommended for producing the following products;

extrusion of metal and extrusion of plastics?
5)- What are some environmental conditions that might adversely affect the engineering

they fall .
