Practice Exercise – Plenum

Sketch Tools, Essentials for Parts and Assemblies

Summary:

In this exercise you’ll create a sketch on the bottom face of a model, convert entities, then add a slot
and circle in an area defined by an offset. You’ll then complete the sketch by mirroring the sketch
elements, making sure to use the correct sketch elements.

Instructions:

1. Download and unzip the part file here.

2. Open the “Plenum.SLDPRT” file in SOLIDWORKS.

3. Start a sketch on the bottom face of the model and convert entities to match the image
below.

4. Create the slot and circles as shown in the images below.
