UNIT – 1 : Characteristics of Electrical Motors


Definition, classification, speed- torque characteristics of common drive motors and their characteristics
under starting, running, braking and speed control.
Selection of Motor : Power capacity for continuous and intermittent periodic duties. Flywheel Effect.
