What is OJT?
o An on-the-job training is a practicum that is a requirement for all students of STI
College that is set to graduate. With this practicum, the students are deployed to
their chosen company or agency and will be required to render a total of 486
hours in order to graduate.
Why is OJT important for students and employees?
o Having an on-the-job training is important for students as this would prepare them
how to apply the lessons that were taught during their stay at STI College. With
their skills, it is important that for employees of their agency to guide them in
order to accomplish their daily tasks or routine accordingly.
How does it serve as a bridge between academic knowledge and actual work
experience?
o With on-the-job training, it serves as a bridge between academic knowledge and
actual work experience in a way that it allows the students to apply their skills to
solve real-world solutions as they go through the processes of the agency.

o The significance of OJT lies within the experiences that we get to encounter
during our stay in the agency wherein it will let us realize that not everything is
taught in school. Thus, being resourceful and being able to adapt to your working
environment is a major plus when it comes to this.

o As for me, I was assigned to the Management Services Division wherein this
division is particularly responsible for the administration, finances, and
procurement of the agencies.

o My OJT supervisor was Camille G. Uy, the acting chief human resource specialist
of MSD. My main duties during my training was to handle incoming
communication documents as well as the outgoing documents.
