Vocabulary with Meanings and Usage

Awake: Not asleep; conscious. (e.g., I couldn't stay awake during the lecture.)

Awaken: To stop sleeping or to make someone stop sleeping. (e.g., She was awakened by the noise.)

Waking: Present participle of 'wake'; used in continuous forms. (e.g., I was waking up when the call came.)

Conscious: Aware and responding to one's surroundings. (e.g., He was conscious after the surgery.)

Complicated: Hard to understand or deal with. (e.g., The instructions were too complicated.)

Complex: Consisting of many different parts. (e.g., A complex issue.)

Hire: To employ someone. (e.g., We plan to hire a new manager.)

Rent: To pay for use of something temporarily. (e.g., Rent a car.)

Borrow: To take and use something with intention to return. (e.g., Borrow a pen.)
