Activity Proposal Mental Wellness
ACTIVITY PROPOSAL
I. RATIONALE
In response to the growing need for a safe, inclusive, and mentally healthy learning environment,
Balinsasayao Elementary School proposes the implementation of a school-wide initiative that
strengthens functional mechanisms (such as the Child Protection Committee, referral systems,
and peer support programs) and promotes mental wellness among learners, teachers, and
stakeholders.
The initiative supports the DepEd Mental Health Program under DO No. 009, s. 2023 and
aligns with national efforts to improve learner well-being, reduce stress, and prevent school-
related mental health issues.
