ICT Integration in Education

The Right to Education Act was passed in 2009 to provide free and compulsory education to all children aged 6 to 14. It led to over 1.3 million schools with over 187 million students and over 5.8 million teachers as of 2008-2009. The Universalization of Secondary Education initiative aimed to increase secondary enrollment ratios to 75% by 2011 through additional enrollment of 3.2 million students and appointing 179,000 more teachers.
