Council (NDCC). It is regulated by the Office of Civil Defense under the Department of National Defense. The Council is responsible for ensuring the protection and welfare of the people during disasters, emergencies or crises. What is Disaster Preparedness?
Disaster preparedness refers to measures
taken to prepare for and reduce the impacts of disasters. That is, to anticipate and, where possible, prevent disasters, mitigate their impact on vulnerable populations, and respond to and effectively cope with their consequences. What is Disaster Management?
The International Federation of Red
Cross & Red Crescent Societies defines disaster management as the organization and management of resources and responsibilities for dealing with all the humanitarian aspects of emergencies.
