demands of industry and academia, through our stakeholders.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
 
PEO1: To lead a successful carrier in industry, or pursue higher studies, or
entrepreneurial endeavors

PEO2: To possess strong knowledge for problem analysis in the field of


Electronics and Communication Engineering to develop solutions of
complex projects for real time problems

PEO3:To undertake professional responsibility through strong team work,


modern tools, communication skill and lifelong learning

PEO4:To become socially responsible professional leaders with moral values


and ethics
Program Outcomes (POs)

Engineering Graduates will be able to


 
1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science,
engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of
complex Computer Science & Engineering problems.
2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze
complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first
principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex Computer
Science & Engineering problems and design system components or processes that
meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and
safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge
and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of
data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions
5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources,
and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex
Computer Science & engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge
to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent
responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional
engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the
knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
8 Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and
responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member
or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
10. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex Computer Science &
engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such
as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation,
make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
11.  Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of
the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a
member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary
environments.
12.   Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability
to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological
changes in the field of Computer Science.
PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs) of ECE Department 

PSO1: Graduates of the program will be able to analyze real world


engineering problems and provide its solution in the field of
Electronics and Communication Engineering.

PSO2: Graduates of the program will be able to design and test systems in
the field of Embedded System and ICT.
KEY STRENGTH
• Department has young and experienced faculty with industry background and
teaching experience, PhDs from reputed institutions and have published papers in
reputed journals.
• Department is well equipped with Course laboratories.
• Department has excellent student-faculty ratio.
• Department has organized soft skill and technical skill development programs for
students prior placement drives. Employability enhancing courses like Embedded
System, Renewable Energy, Industrial Automation (PLC & SCADA),
LabView and Artificial Intelligent are also organized.
• The final year students undergo the industrial training in most of the Electronics
industry located in NCR.
• Departmental library comprises of e-Journals & books on various subjects not only
covering the syllabus but the books which are useful in bringing out good human
values.
 13 batches of undergraduates students are produced.
 MSME lab is a Research Incubation Center
 Texas Instrument Lab is Installed by EdGate Technology Pvt Ltd
 Certified Courses in Embedded System By Cetpa Pvt Ltd
 ICT Enable Classroom
 More than 50 research paper published and paper presented

 Total revenue generated from MSME project is 26.535 lakhs
 MOU with TI, CETPA , EMBLOGIC
 Licensed Software EdWin XP 1.9, MATLAB R2012b, Target 3001
MoU with TRUCHIP and FUTUREWHIZ

This MoU is mainly for Final year students for the


training in the field of VLSI design and making the
students an employable certified VLSI Engineer in a
short span of time.
Facilities:
Towards developing skilled man power and imparting
VLSI training to students.
Mentor facilty to students from core Industry.
Conferences visits for the selected students on
Truechip & Futurewiz.
Employment in core electronics, semiconductor, EDA
or VLSI companies.
Centre of Excellence: Embedded Systems

Department of Electronics and Communication


Engineering has setup a Centre of Excellence of
Embedded System, in association with CETPA
Infotech, Noida, where students learn the
industrial exposure by the learning of industrial
application projects.
Third year and final year students are trained on
various new technologies like IoT, Industrial
applications, Machine Learning, Artificial
Intelligence applications, which are not covered
in their regular curriculum.
CURRICULUM ASPECTS

 PEOs, PSOs and COs are prepared for better performance of the academic
delivery keeping in view the mission and vision of the department.
 Curriculum is divided into Foundation courses, Core courses and Electives
( Departmental and Open).
 Students are enrolled in courses offered by UGC-NPTL Portal
 Exposure to Workshop Practices and Performance of experiments in Core
Electronics Labs, Exposure to Embedded C, Xilinx, Orcad ,MATLAB &
Python
 Courses like Technical Seminar, paper presentations is a part of the curriculum.
 Quantitative Aptitude Development, Personality development, Industrial
training are added to develop more confidence and improve employability.
 Different Technical programs like expert lectures, industrial visits are arranged
to make students updated about the advancement in Technology.
 Crash Course ( Embedded System)
TEACHING PEDAGOGY
• Departmental Academic Activity Calendar is prepared on the basis of University
Academic Calendar including various departmental activities.
• Subjects are allotted to faculty, based on their expertise and elective subjects are floated for
offer to students in the previous semester.
• Course coordinators are assigned by the core committee & HOD. Lesson plans, Tutorials
and Assignments are prepared by faculty for each courses offered.
• Practical classes are conducted to enhance the knowledge through experiments.
• Tutorial Classes are conducted to solve numerical, discuss case studies, solving
assignments etc.
• Students are motivated to present their paper in national/international conferences
• Students register themselves in NPTEL Courses
• Continuous assessment through tests, viva, quiz, assignments and presentation is an
integral part of evaluation.
• Sessional Exams and PUT followed by Practical's and End Semester Exams.
• Students are encouraged to do industrial project.
• 4 weeks Industrial Training is a part of curriculum which is done in VI semester.
• Students are motivated to present their paper in national/international conferences.
• Student participate in project competition in national/international level.
