Nodes are where you store data about ideas or
themes that emerge as work with your project

Some researchers already have some ideas on


the nodes based on their experience and
literature review

Some researchers may create nodes as they


discover themes in their data

Itis a group of concept that is not yet
organized

It is useful at the initial stage of coding


because you may not know exactly where
it fits in the hierarchical but as you move
further you will find similarities between
nodes and then move them into more
logical theme.

Go to free node

Open a source or a node
On the View menu, choose Highlight and
select the Coding Selected Items option
The Select Project Item dialog is displayed
Click the folder containing the required nodes
Tick the checkbox next to the required nodes
Click OK for the selected nodes. They will be
highlighted in yellow

Right click and choose code selection at
Existing Node or at New Node

1. In List View, select the node that you
plan to move
2. Right Click and choose Cut
3. Select the Node where you want the cut
node to be located
4. Right Click and choose Paste
