Technical Diagrams

The document discusses different types of technical diagrams including schematic diagrams, block diagrams, and series and parallel circuits. Schematic diagrams simplify systems and show relationships. Block diagrams provide overviews of major components and relationships. Series circuits have current through each resistor while parallel circuits split current and apply full voltage to each component.

Technical Diagrams

Schematic Diagram
• Used to describe a high level functioning of a system or a process.
They simplify and facilitate communication by visualizing the
relationship between system and objects and making them more
obvious.
Block Diagram
• A specialized, high-level flowchart used in engineering. It is used to
design new system or to described and improve existing ones.
• Provides a high-level overview of major system components.
• A key process participants and important working relationships
Series and Parallel
circuits
Series circuit
•  is a circuit in which resistors are arranged in a chain, so the current
has only one path to take. The current is the same through each
resistor.
•  the sum of the voltages consumed by each individual resistance is
equal to the source voltage.
Parallel circuit
• parallel are connected along multiple paths so that the current can
split up; the same voltage is applied to each component.
• is a closed circuit in which the current divides into two or more paths
before recombining to complete the circuit. Each load connected in a
separate path receives the full circuit voltage, and the total circuit
current is equal to the sum of the individual branch currents.
