Object Avoiding System
An object avoiding system detects and avoids obstacles
in real-time using radar sensors.
Radar (Radio Detection and Ranging) uses radio waves
to detect objects and measure their distance, speed,
and direction.
Radar-based systems are commonly used in
autonomous vehicles, robotics, and navigation for
maritime and aerospace applications.
These systems perform well in challenging conditions
like low visibility, fog, rain, or dust.
Problem Statement
Camera and LIDAR-based object detection
struggle in poor visibility conditions like
fog, rain, or darkness.
Advanced technologies like LIDAR are
expensive and hard to implement in cost-
sensitive applications.
Without effective obstacle avoidance,
robots and autonomous systems waste
time and energy with inefficient paths or
manual intervention.
Short-range sensors often fail to detect
obstacles early enough for timely action
and decision-making.
Objective/Aim of the Project:
Aim:
Objectives:
Connect the servo motor and ultrasonic sensor to the appropriate pins on the Arduino board.
2. Arduino Set up and Initialization: Write code to initialize the ultrasonic sensor and servo motor. Set up serial
communication in the code to send data from the Arduino to a connected computer.
3. Servo Motor Control: Program the servo motor to sweep back and forth within a specific range (e.g., 0° to 180°).
Add a delay at each angle to allow time for the ultrasonic sensor to take measurements
4. Continuous Scanning: Set the system to continuously scan the area by repeating the servo sweep and data collection
