INTRODUCTION:

 There is close relationship b/w course equivalence and

transcript .Transcript forms the basis for assessment of course
equivalence.
 Transcript includes details of course content covered by students , hours
covered both in classes and clinical area.
DEFINATION:

 COURSE equivalence is the term used in higher education describing

how a course offered by one college or university relates to a course
offered by another. If a course is viewed as equal or better than the
course offered by the receiving college or university , the course can be
notes as an equivalent course.
 Course equivalence refers to the equivalence of the different version of
a course , usually arise from differences in locations offered , particularly
off shore version of locally delivered course ,different modes of delivery
or offering in a language other than english
PRINCIPLE:
 Courses are regarded as equivalence if they have the same intended
learning outcome and consequences the same graduate profile.
 Equivalence courses should therefore have the same overall educational
aims and assess their achievement at the same standard
PROCEDURE OF OBTAINING
EQUIVALENCE
 The procedure involves for of foreign nursing qualification as
follow:

 A transcript performed has to be filled by the concerned university/board

from where the candidate has qualified his/her training.

 After receiving the transcript it is placed before the equivalency committee

 the decision of the equivalency committee is communicated to the

candidate.

 A demand draft of 1000/-in favour of secretary,indian nursing council , new

delhi toward equivalence fee is required to be submitted by the candidate.

CHARACTERISTICS:

 A TRANSCRIPT is a copy of student’s permanent academic record which

usually means all course taken ,all grades received , all honors received
and degree conferred to a student.
 A transcript may also contain average grade of the class.
 An official transcripti prepared and sent by the issuing school with an
original signature of school official. When student are thinking about
changing school ,the cumulative transcript usually get mailed from
school to school.

record .
