a- She loved the wear her new gypsy dress and

white shoes she had. The little trained dogs that
do small tricks to the applause and the curling,
crackling potato delights. She loved the smell of
grilled octopus and when the time in the
morning after coffee and churros.

b- She didn’t like her hair pulled back in an


uncomfortable bun, and the disappointment that
she was too young to ride certain rides at the fair.

part of her whole experience that

of a
fair, always
dusty.

 “I strutted a little” She wanted to

everyone see her new
dress.

 “Sad lions” She’ll remember the lions
seemed sad in their cages.

 “Sequined costumes that didn’t quite


glitter” She saw the costumes of the
trapeze artists which didn’t
glitter.

 “Battered your ears” The drums and the


music she heard was noisy.

10. She expressed that she was in her own
‘life’ and that she enjoyed it at the Fair
and was pleased with it just the way it
was. Now she is referring it as ‘innocent
times’ which tells that nowadays she
doesn’t go to any fairs anymore or when
she did, she would remember all the
things she saw, heard, smelt and felt
when she was a young girl.
