Jira is getting a fresh new look and navigation

We’re in the process of rolling out these changes and the documentation may not match your experience. Bear with us while we update it to reflect the new changes. More about navigating the new Jira

Access a project

Projects can be viewed as containers that hold work items. Each project has an associated workflow, which is the path work items follow from creation to completion. Start working on your assigned tasks by accessing and viewing the project they're in.

Access a project

  1. From your sidebar, select Projects.

  2. Select the project you want to access.

You can set a default view for each project, to suit the view your team uses most. This could be the Board, Timeline, Calendar, or any other view.

View a project's work items

You can view and filter the work items in your project so that you see, for example, work items that are only assigned to you. In your project, select All work in the top navigation. From here, you can preview work items, and select preconfigured filters to change which work items are displayed.
