Special Cord Set Instruction

Regarding your cord set: A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and maybe used if care is exercised in their use. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used, (1) the marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, (2) if the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding type-3 wire cord, and (3) the cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

Roasting Tips

If you find coffee beans are not dark enough (1) Preheat roaster approximately 2 minutes before adding beans, (2) Add 1 minute to timed roasting sequence before timer reaches cool cycle. CAUTION: over-roasting beans can create smoke. If this occurs, turn timer knob to COOL zone. If you find coffee beans are too dark, deduct 1 minute from timer roasting sequence, do not preheat roaster. During roasting you will hear the beans crackle at approximately 2-1/2 minutes. At approximately 4-5 minutes you will hear a rapid crackle. At this point the timer knob should be in the COOL zone. If the timer knob is not in the COOL zone manually advance it.

Cleaning

Save These Instructions

Before each use, always empty the chaff* from the basket and clean screens with a soft brush.

*Chaff is the outer layer of the coffee bean.
