Description: Research Analyst

Research Analyst Job Responsibilities: Design and conduct primary and secondary research and impact evaluations Develop, design and plan OECD Criteria based evaluations.

Document and conduct implementation research Design and draft evaluation and survey protocols by designing detailed methodology including representative sampling, quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques including key informant interview guides, surveys, focus group discussion guides, document collection and review, web searches and the collection of economic and social data Design and draft measures for data quality assurance, data analysis technique and software to be used for analysis, ethical considerations and limitations and report generation Develop

research

questionnaire,

corresponding

indicators

and

methodologies, and rigorous data analysis plans for evaluative studies Develop proposals by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation; writing, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries,

conclusions, and organization credentials. Gather proposal information by identifying sources of information; coordinating submissions and collections; identifying and

communicating risks associated with proposals. Maintain quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks. Accomplish

accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Participate in design, conduct, analysis and writing up of research studies Qualitative & Quantitative analysis of new and existing data from primary and secondary research Review monitoring and evaluation framework/system for projects that include clear objectives, activities, inputs, outputs, outcomes and impacts Apply standard quality control procedures to assure accuracy of studies and findings Supervise/conduct data coding, cleaning, data entry and analysis and double data entry and cleaning if needed Develop a field monitoring plan and oversee the logistics of the various components of the project Project Planning and Management Report writing, policy briefs, research papers and peer-reviewed publications Mentor a team of research associates and field team Support in identifying, hiring and supervision of evaluation experts Presenting research findings to different audiences Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications: Masters or higher degree in a relevant discipline 3+years of development sector Prior experience of undertaking primary research involving multiple methods Prior experience in developing quantitative studies and conducting quantitative collection and analysis Must have command on OECD Criteria. Excellent reading, writing and speaking skills in English Problem Solving & Process Improvement Strategic Planning & Market Knowledge Managerial and Technical Skills Prior experience of quantitative and qualitative data analysis Prior experience of working with SPSS or other statistical software Ability to travel throughout Pakistan Knowledge of regional languages will be an advantage
