Data Analysis and Initial Report Writing for Peer Testing

Name: _Morgan Larson____

Allison is a white female who is 22 years old. She has graduated high school and currently in her second
year of college at Brigham Young University Idaho. Allison used a paper and pencil for solving math
calculation problems whenever possible. She also was quick to answer many questions and sometimes
did so before the question had not been asked completely.

The K-TEA 3, form A, was administered. This is the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement, Third
Edition and is a test designed to measure an individual’s academic achievement in multiple subject
areas. It is administered for grades pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, or ages 4 to 25.

 Allison is average, or above average in all but three tests.

 Oral Language Composite and Oral Fluency Composite, both have extremely low percentile
ranking in their associational fluency subtests.
 Oral Expression under Expression Composite and Oral Language Composite were above average.
 The highest percentile rankings are under Academic Fluency Composite, with the subtest of
Writing Fluency. Also, the subtest Word Recognition Fluency for Orthographic Processing
Composite and the subtest Word Recognition Fluency under Reading Fluency Composite.
 All other scores seem to be within the average range, whether high or low.
 Her lowest two tests focus on oral language and fluency

Looking at percentile rankings and scores, Allison was least proficient in the domain oral language and
followed by the domain reading. Under the Oral Language Composite test, Allison was in the 12th
percentile, scoring as good as or better than twelve out of a hundred students who were normed to
represent the testing population. Oral Fluency Composite had a percentile ranking of 0.3, meaning that
she scored not quite as good as one out of a hundred students. Under both of these tests, the lowest
percentiles were with the subtests of Associational Fluency, both being less then 0.1 percentile. Her
difficulty lies with associate words and objects with new ones.

Allison can currently:

 Express herself orally

 Understand things spoken to her
 Respond orally to orally given statements or questions

Allison can sometimes:

 Comprehend oral language

 Name objects
 Listen to what is being said

Allison cannot yet:

 Associate words
 Associate objects
 Maintain fluency in her oral expression

Recommendations

1. Speech language therapy twice a week for a half hour

2. Object/word sorting activities to show where things associate
3. Audio books to help her to understand what information is being given to her orally

Without oral fluency and language fluency, Allison will not be able to appropriately communicate or
articulate thoughts. This will make it difficult for her to hold strong conversation and therefore, build
relationships.

If Allison were within school ages, she would qualify for services under Part B. She is more than two
standard deviations below the mean in more than one domain which would qualify her for an IEP under
intellectual disability.
