by itself? Does your computer causes lag that can be irritable? Well, there’s a solution in your problem that you
can encounter. In that case you should not panic and be calm and you must read our article to extend your
horizon about troubleshooting. If you ever read our article you will not just be able to help yourself but also to
This case study is all about troubleshooting the computer. Troubleshooting is a form of problem
solving, often applied to repair failed products or processes on a machine or a system. It is a logical, systematic
search for the source of a problem in order to solve it, and make the product or process operational again.
Troubleshooting is needed to identify the symptoms. Determining the most likely cause is a process of
elimination eliminating potential causes of a problem. Finally, troubleshooting requires confirmation that the
solution restores the product or process to its working state. If you don’t know anything about this topic then
this article can help you to expand your knowledge about troubleshooting. This case study will help every
student to determine the problems they are facing everyday in their computer like audio problems, system errors
etc. In this case study students can manage computer problems easily by reading those in this article, that can be
helpful, not only yours but also our future. Furthermore all of the opinions expressed in this article are those of

A. Case
- Before anything else we prepare our workplace so that our procedures will
be organized. Our first step is to wear anti static wrist strap and place the anti
static mat on the table and place there the things that can cause anti static
discharge. We test the power supply and these are the results:
Power supply A
Power Supply didn’t work even though we use the correct the power cord.
Power Supply B
At first it didn’t work and we tried to change the power cords to know if it
will work. Eventually the system fan, started to spin but it’s just weak.
Power Supply C
In choosing the system unit we depends our answer on the VGA port
of the monitor and we’re trying to know if the connector will fit into
the port then we also try to change the power cord to test if it’s

Our suggestion is try to change or swap the connectors to know if the monitor will work and base on our
activity we didn’t manage to open the monitor because we didn’t find the right connector and the right
power cord to make the system unit and the monitor work. In short
Our conclusion is to use the process of elimination. By this method it helps us to easily find the right
computer components, with the help and participation of each member and because of that we can avoid
wasting time. Some of us are afraid to touch or to plug the cords into the outlet because they are scared that they
may be grounded by the electricity from the outlet. We panicked because the time is so limited so we need to
assign each member a task to test each computer components. We learned some new things by observing the
computer components and our members by assembling the computer parts. We there for conclude that finding
the right power supply, power cord, system unit, AVR, keyboard, and monitor can set a computer system.
D. What could be the challenges you may encounter in doing the case?
We discovered some issues like finding the right power cord. Really at the first place finding the right
power cord for the right component is hard like when we try to plug it into the monitor and connect it to
the CPU, the CPU will work but the monitor will not.
B. Possible solutions or ways to address this problem that occurred to you before you do the study.
List all the steps in solving the problems and it will be easier to find the real problems by eliminating
those that are not the cause of problems and find other solutions to the problems
First we examined our work place to familiarized our selves .The things we examined are the monitors,

Based on my findings, handling this kind of problems doesn’t need to be stressful. You just need to have

Based upon our finding. We should handle this kind of problem. First, calm yourself so that you
will easily think of a solution then use the process of elimination. Which you will easily locate
the exact problem of your computer and work with the solution so that at the end of the day by
your own knowledge and skills you by yourself repair your own computer without exerted any
money and disturbing other people. Just think positively and surely you can handle this situations
smoothly.
For us these relate us on our experience on how to manage things like how to know what color u
should plug in order for the powerr supply to work and think on what to do and also based from
our own experience finding the right computer components will lead us on how to handle those
things easily
V. Assessment
First we pick a power cord that can supply power to the power supply A, after a while we still
did not make it to run. Next we proceed to power supply C. Like what we do in the first step we
pick a power cord that can supply power to power supply letter C, there is one power cord that
make it run but only for a few seconds. Then we proceed to power supply B, we pick a
compatible power cord and after finding the right power cord we are able to make it run. After
that we chose a working system unit and AVR and all of them are working. Then we proceed to
monitors, we chose monitor C but its cord is loose and we did not be able to make it turned on.
Then we proceed to monitor B, the power switch of monitor B light up but we did not make it
cause of the wrong use of power cord. Lastly we tried to make monitor a worked but again it did
not open. We go back again to monitor B because we use a wrong power cord, again the power
switch light up but the monitor didn't open. We ran out of time and we did not make it to power
We learned in this lesson that in every time our computer is not working, we do not need to panic and
stressed ourselves, we do not need to exert a lot of money, nor to disturb other people just to repair our
computer, but by the means of applying our own knowledge and skills about troubleshooting we can
easily solve this problem. And also our Ability to what we learned in school, this case we can handle
those kind of situation smoothly. We can manipulate things in our own ways very well.
We also learned to have the word "unity" in our group in this kind of situation, for us to finish all things
in exact time and no rush. We needed each every one of us to help to the group, and work as one, to
prevent any damage. To be as one and to show to each of the member that we are all part and no one is
useless. That everyone should help, should cooperates and give their suggestion , so that there’s no envy
in our group and for us to easily finished the task in the time and accurately
Worrying doesn't change anything but thrusting God can change everything. So do not let the problem
This case have NO Impact to my career goals and even I experience to set up a computer/monitor this is
not my bases to change career because I already know to myself that have NO extra knowledge about
