Orignal Beam Flexural + Shear Design

The document provides design calculations for a simply supported beam with a clear span of 30 feet. The beam material properties and loads are input. The minimum required height, assumed height and width are calculated. The self weight, ultimate load, moment and required steel reinforcement area are determined. #8 reinforcing bars with 6 bars provided are selected. Shear capacity of the concrete and required steel are calculated and shear reinforcement is required. Minimum spacing checks are done and design spacing of #3 bars at 10 inches is used.
